Strafing vs Deathslinger on Controller
I feel like I've seen videos where survivors are able to move side to side a lot while the Deathslinger is trying to reel them in, but I have never been able to do more than wiggle very slightly and pull backward. I'm also on controller, though, so my question is: how much side-to-side movement is normal, and does it make a difference if you're on controller vs keyboard? And, if you're supposed to be able to strafe on controller, how do you do it?

Well. I will say I am a little bit biased here as I am a controller player (on pc) myself and I do think the game is setup in a way where you are just playing at a disadvantage compared to keyboard/mouse which shouldn’t be the case. it’s worse for the killer role though, much worse, and survivor is still very much playable on controller.
Though strafing as well as efficiently looping around assets/corners is where even survivors have problems on controller (also deadzones and response curves of joysticks as well as sensitivity and aim ‚assist‘). I think strafing for dodging ranged attacks is more crucial than the reel in, and I don’t feel like there is that much difference there on keyboard vs controller. I don’t go up against many Deathslingers nowadays where I try to learn M&K controls so can’t say ultimately, but the effects shouldn’t be too different?
there might be some ‚trick‘ on keyboard though as i feel when playing DS myself, there is only a very very small percentage of survivors that can actually wiggle visibly when being reeled in?
