Disconnects break perk and power

I was using Whispers on Doctor and someone disconnected when there was an illusionary doctor on them and within my Whispers radius. Throughout the entire rest of the game the illusionary doctor never disappeared nor did my Whisper perk ever deactivate, I knew there was never anyone close enough to activate Whispers because my Static Blast never picked up any survivors a few times.
