The Eruption nerf goes the wrong way
Hello everyone, the current eruption is definetely way too strong. Preventing you to play the game 25 seconds just because you played the game is just not right. A nerf was surely needed! But this nerf is way too strong in my honest opinion. Eruption was used because killers needed more time on specific generators.
The PTB eruption let survivor scream, reveal their aura for few seconds and decreased the progress by 10% of the current progression. Here are two huge design flaws! First, the scream bubble will block the aura reading. Second, 10% is already not much but losing it from the current progress just makes it horrible.
If we really go with this combination of aura reading + regression then I would recommend to apply the eruption effect to every generator that lost progress through kicking the generator or forcing progression loss through perks like jolt. This way it opens the door to more combination. Second I would remove the scream, lower the regression to 8% of the maximum progress and block the generator for 10 seconds, so Killers receive time to make use of the aura reading!
Like I said, Eruption needs a nerf but please don't butcher it for killers. Hope this is something that everyone can live with.

i have said many times, and will say once again here, that Eruption was a perfectly good and balanced regression perk on release that was unfortunately overshadowed by a number of other OP slowdowns; and that they should bring it back to its previous power level.

They should have just reverted the buff. The perk would still be OK in certain niches, and not too hard to deal with.
