How does this better evoke her concept at all? A character like this wouldn't be hiding anything, she certainly wouldn't be able to conduct her business as usual between hunts.
There's nothing inherently wrong with this design, of course, but it'd require a wildly different character concept to go with it.

Yeah a more cybernetic version would be way cooler. Always thought her mask should just be a cybernetic half face instead

This version of her evokes more "horror" than BHVR's version. Killer's should be scary. Whether it come from visuals, lore, or game play, and I think most players get none of that when they look at her.. Let's be honest, her current design has a very minor cult following at best..

Eh, it doesn't invoke more horror in general, it just invokes a more straightforward kind of horror. Like Trickster, Skull Merchant's horror is more conceptual and filtered through a more flashy design.
How many people like it is both impossible to ascertain until she's been around long enough for pickrates and sales data to be available, and not really relevant to whether it's a good design for the game.

Not what i had in mind when thinking of redesigning her, but this would still be better than what we have atm.

Given she is rich I would have figured it would factor into her character as a self investment. Tech and money has me think mantis blades like in cyberpunk. Even by real world standards there are tech augments which would look better than a single exo-arm.

I don't think Trickster/Deathslinger's lore stories are laughable at all. I'll give you Legion. I usually excuse Legion as its an "unintentional way" for us to have movies like Purge represented in DBD.

Slinger’s lore is some of the best in DBD and perfectly captured the time period and discrimination Caleb would’ve actually experienced being an Irish immigrant in America

Tricksters lore is just "I left my band mates to die in a fire then got an obsession with killing because of it." Which is...really weird and doesn't make sense at all. Deathslingers I always forget cause it's kinda a snoozefest like his design

I'll hand it to you. The first time I read Trickster's lore, I was taken back, but then I read it again and saw new meaning in it and looking at him in game it really does make sense and I thought it wasn't as bad as my first take. I have tried this a bunch with ...The Skull Merchant.. and her lore... I just can't.. Compared to her.. Trickster and EVEN Legion's lore are masterpieces. Hers is just so damn bad, nothing can compare to it.. :/
