Game not being able to retrieve profile leading to penalty

PS5 - Game not being able to retrieve my profile which leads to DC penalty
While I was loading into a match as killer, suddenly the game gave me an error saying it wasn't able to retrieve my profile information. I exited out without thinking too much so I don't have the error code, but it just told me to restart the game. I did, but I got a DC penalty. I don't understand how I could get a DC penalty when #1 the match was still loading and #2 I didn't DC, The game kicked me out, so I'm assuming this has to be a bug.
