UI Suggestion: Perk Categories / Search Bar
DBD's perk roster rises, but the alphabetized sorting on the menu makes things a pain to sort through.
Disclaimer: This is a subjective opinion; some people might not have the same problems with the menu that I do!
Suggestion 1: Search Bar
It might be a niche complaint, sure; but as the cast grows larger and larger, sifting through perks begins to feel like more and more of a chore. Loadouts, were a small QoL adjustment to swap between builds, but I feel that it fails to cover the more "on-the-fly" aspects of perk building. I don't see why there isn't an option for sorting perks (or even, favoriting them) by at least incorporating a search bar (which might have issues with console players-- which in that case, a different system might be used). But if the perks are going to expand, alphabetically sorting them may make things difficult.
Suggestion 2: Perk Categories / In Game Objectives
Alternatively, we could begin with a classification of perks: Exhaustion, Aura Reading, Strategic/Tactical, Collaboration... and so forth. With the game's scoring system already incorporating and defining the core aspects of gameplay, it might be wise to begin in classifying perks that are relevant to that form of gameplay. Like, Gen-perks being related to Light-Bringer, etc. The only exception would be trade off perks, but I feel like that's where something like the so-called "Strategic Category" would be used.
Rationale for why I think this needs change
I know this is an incredibly minor inconvenience, but when you're a new player in Kill Your Friends, going through all the perks might be overwhelming. The menu feels hard to look at, at times, because I sometimes have to manually sift through individuals perks to find something for a build. A classification or an easier way to go through the UI might improve the UI's accessibility.
Community Feedback and Thoughts are always welcome!
That being said, it might be that I could potentially overcomplicate the system in question, and in that case: I'd love to hear other suggestions on this DP. Especially if you disagree. This post might be a re-post of something previously suggested and could be potentially an inadvertent repost. If that is the case, feel free to inform me!

At some point we will have a lot of Favorite Perks and the problem will come back.
On top of that we are kind of forced to use not favorite perks because of Archives. As well as the daily task may force you to play a character you have never played. You don't have to do it but where is fun in that.
Imo, the game has grown enought to get proper solutions.
- List of all perks as it is right now - alphabetically.
- A few extra ikons to Show by category (ex. Favorite, Gen gegresion, Exposed, Hex , Aura Reading .... Misc. )
- and/or .. Much more builds and named builds. Typing and searching on console is not nice but once you named it's one click to switch the build.
- and/or a way to copy or share the builds between characters.
- ex. I have "My Gen regres." build on The Traper , I click a button, I choose The Plage ; the perks that are unlocked on Plage and the name of the bulid are copied to her list in to free slot.
- ex. one shared list of named builds for all survs and one for killers. Open the list; choose the build you previosly created and named ; apply every unlocked perk from the build to the current character.
Maybe I am asking to much, but hmm ... would be nice.
