More and more killer aura reading abilities is VERY annoying

Options

Aura reading is ruining this stealth game. No matter how good you are at hiding, killer will find you without any tracking effort from his side. This is just annoying.

I was so tired of BBQ, so I equipped Distortion. But the Doctor can still see my aura when I scream, so I equipped Calm Spirit additionally. But the Legion can still see me after he hits someone with his special abilities, no matter how well I can hide. This is just BS. I'm ok if the killer finds me because I made a mistake or because he is good at tracking and has tracking perks equipped, but spoon-feeding killers and revealing my location to the killer even though I have several anti-tracking perks equipped is just so annoying.

Enough with the killer aura reading abilities for this game. Or give us a perk that can protect us from all kinds of aura reading, so the killers have actually to search for survivors.

There is no protection perk that shields vs every killer. If your not switching loadouts then your gonna end up facing bad matches from time to time. Most aura perks have counters that can be performed without equipping a perk yourself. Hiding takes effort on your part, game mechanics should not be doing the work for you.

I love the stealthy, fully immersive gameplay, I like to feel fear, tension, panic, and dark atmospheres, and magic Aura skills destroy it. About this I opened two threads:

    Your contribution is welcome! :)

Lol there's so many counters to aura reading abilities, but it seems like you just don't want to use them. If the counters fail you during a match, then too bad. You can't always hide from the Killer. Learn the counters and get good.

The reason aura reading is annoying is because the devs can't/don't/won't think of/implement other ways of giving the killer information about where survivors are.

Crickets not chirping when the killer or a survivor has moved near them inside a 12 meter radius would be a wonderful addition.
Crows landing on generators that haven't seen a survivor in a while, crows eating a dying survivor that hasn't moved to give counter play to the slug for the hatch, or having some crows caw aggressively when the survivor has gotten close enough to be noticed but not close enough to scare it away would be ways to make the crow mechanic part of the game again.
Sticks that would break when walked over would make stealth play that much more exciting and thrilling, but also require planning in the chase phase to gain stealth opportunities.

There are so many options, BUT WHY DO NONE OF THESE EXIST????

LMFAO this isn't a stealth game it's a game of cat and mouse stop thinking you can do the same thing against every single killer learn to switch up your playstyle stealth doesn't always work .

They want the killer to be teleported off the map with their eyes yanked out of their skulls.

Because hiding an entire game is such skill. The game is going to be so exciting after the killer will have to search an entire corn field for an urbanly evading Claudette

Killer's having aura reading is a high tier add-on or ability being raised to tier 3. So, your argument here is understandable if you main as a Survivor more often, although as I main as a Killer, I do not have those "Aura reading" quite often and when I do, it is a granted choice and to be honest, I do not use my high tier abilities ,since they get wasted and I want to save them with 100% blood offerings AND tier 3 perks. Above all, happy holidays and please remember that not EVERY Killer user have these aura ability granted to them easily.

If aura reading is so powerful, why don't Survivors use theirs?

    @Troman

Just offering Aura reading abilities to killers and then disabling it through survivors isn't going to help create us create gameplay diversity.

You'd be better off with something that tells a survivor WHEN their aura is being read.
    Think about that.

    Distortion accomplishes both.

    Distortion accomplishes both.

Only 3 times and while it did so, it limited the aura reading of killers by simply turning something off.
If someone took my advice and created Distortion with it, I'd be very dissapointed xD

I'm suggesting something more along the lines of:

"When your aura is being Read, gain a notification. You don't leave scratchmarks during and 3/4/5 seconds after this perk being active."

    Or

"When your aura is being Read, Reveal the Aura of the killer."

Edit: (By notification I mean that the perk is no longer darked-out for the full duration of your aura being read.)
