Skull Merchant Drones scan lines are a bit bugged

I am on the Xbox Series S and during a match against The Skull Merchant on Blood Lodge I noticed that sometimes the Drones weren't displaying their scan lines when in their search mode. I wanted to make sure it wasn't just a random occurrence and found out that Being equipped with the Claw Trap will just remove your ability to see the scanner lines. I do understand that having the Trap on makes you immediately detected but nothing is stated about having part of the power that is used to find the drones as a survivor from a distance being completely removed.
