Ok so I saw medkit nerfs, COH nerfs, and the healing nerfs and as someone that used to enjoy stealth killers I was rejoicing! Keyword, was...
However, I took more time to think about it, tested it and saw gameplay myself, etc, and I feel like CoH and medkit changes are fine and needed the 24s base healing time is...crazy to say the least. I think 20s would be fine but but a whopping 24s is a huge leap and you have to take into account all the anti heal perks.
So here are some changes regarding healing: 20s heal time instead of 24. Self care buffed back up to 50% heal speed or maybe even 75% (the nerf to 35% was extremely overkill and now the perk is even worse). Remove the -33% efficiency from botany so it can work with med kits now that med kits have been toned down a LOT. And lastly I could see CoH being buffed to +75% heal speed instead of +50% so it's not just botany as a boon.
Next the killer perk changes:
gearhead is alright but should really just be ANY skill checks. Not just great and not just good. Skill checks are extremely RNG and you can do a whole ass gen with no skill checks + the perk has to be currently active for it to even do anything and then they might just hit greats. No one will use this perk still.
CoB and overcharge changes are fine but overkill. They should both just be 150% regression speed but make them NOT stack. The perks should be good on their own rather than relying on each other to be even worth running.
Pain res token changes are fine but should remove the "once per survivor" bullshit as it's a ######### scourge hook so having to have one nearby + it be a survivor that you haven't put on a scourge hook yet is asking too much I think (especially since it's limited to 4 uses per game).
Now for billy changes:
You were right BHVR! What? About overheat? lol no...you were right about overheat being a "non factor"..so just remove it. Like I get that you wanted to add some more layers to his power but in this case simple is better. Overheat is bad whether you want to admit or not and 90% of the community agrees. To insist on in staying in the game is to basically completely throw away the feedback of not only people with thousands of hours but also the feedback of the fog whispers who's job is to literally play the game nonstop.
So why is overheat bad if it's a "non factor"? First of all, it punishes new players for trying to learn Billy...an already hard killer to pick up and overheat gatekeeps new players from reaching a higher level of skill as him due to the frustration that is map design that works against him + overheat. Secondly the new changes put a clamp on his mobility while improving his ability to hold his chainsaw for a prolonged period of time. To put it simply the changes punish him for using his chainsaw sprint to go across the map and reward him for using his chainsaw to camp via 99'ing it. It's horribly flawed and designed just remove the mechanic. It sucks no matter how you slice it.
Now the engravings oh lord. So first off the "reduced heat" nerf I realized doesn't really mean anything because of the reduced heat while revving base kit makes it basically the same if not better in that regard. However it's the other 2 nerfs that don't make sense to me. So as we all know engravings had the downside of slower charge speed right? So you nerfed the speed, yes it is noticeable but...it's not TOO bad ig so th- GOOD GOD YOU INCREASED THE CHARGE TIME WHY!?! If you nerfed the upside why did you need to increase the downside as well? Shouldn't that work in reverse?!?! Yikes that's an overkill nerf for an addon that wasn't even op. 😨
Ok so the good change is the blood web! However since we've been waiting for this change for so long it should be as good as it can be!
Ok so when you prestige a character it INSTANTLY consumes the node...no animation. This should apply to normal nodes in the bloodweb as well. Like- ok listen BHVR "what if they miss click?" First off y'all added the "click/hold" option so that's perfect! Except when I click it still does the animation...why? In case of a miss click? Like idk or add an option that says "instant bloodweb purchase." Something like that. I won't lie I appreciate the bloodweb QoL but it needs a simple addition and it's PERFECT! That's it!
P.S. Please reduce the size of mothers dwelling I'm begging you it's so bad. idk why you want to leave that untouched but then put a clamp on billy's movement.
