Devs, are you getting any valuable information from the PTB?
I don't mean in terms of new bugs. I mean in terms of balancing after the meta shake. Almost every match I've played has had at least one DC, usually resulting in a 4K. I don't get the point of people playing on PTB just to disconnect every single match.
If so many people aren't playing the game seriously, isn't the collected data kind of useless?
I can't really say how strong the healing nerf is because most of my mates gave up very early. Yes, it's a very powerful buff for killers, but is it overhelming? I survived a few matches as a Solo Q Survivor, but most of the time I died because people threw in the towel. I think also on the live servers people will intentionally play worse than usual just to falsify the data.
So what do u say?

Yes we get very helpful information from the PTB, not just data and statistics, which we can pull from there - but the feedback that our community is taking the time to give us. It's not all about data, data can highlight something but we use a lot of other methods to expand on that.

This was probably the worst PTB (at least in recent memory) I have played. There was maybe like 1 game that was longer than 10 min. 90% of the time people DC. Tryhard killers using the most unfun things possible, etc.

I don't know how reliable it is, but I've seen and heard from several people that the PTB has a lot of performance issues.
Some of those could be crashes. I don't know for sure though, BHVR hasn't let us console players use the ptb :(

Character animations look 8-bit--it's extremely comical seeing Wesker (who I believe has the most animated movement animation), chase after survivors at 5 FPS.
I wouldn't jump to calling the killers 'tryhards.' The PTB needs stress testing, and killers are bringing what they believe are the strongest perk combos to evaluate the changes before they hit live servers. If killers aren't pushing the changes to their limit, then BHVR will have less of a chance to spot unforeseen balance issues.
Both sides should come into PTB expecting to face janky and overpowered synergies. It seems like people have this expectation that PTB is a casual sneak peak of upcoming features, when they should be treating it like a QA test.

Yea, I agree with you but when someone DC in the first 5 min, when you are being slugged and the killer wants to do it (lot of wasted time) or you see Doctor with abusing the broken Merciless Storm (yes that happend)... you just don't want to continue playing PTB more.

Ah, yeah I've another word for those type of players 🙃

The devs are getting ALOT of feedback and as we all can clearly see, The Hillbilly changes to engravings, and the increased time to heal are the most noticeable changes that nobody wants to live servers. Hopefully a few tweaks to those 2 changes will happen come live servers.

There have been other PTBs with a lot of DCs. There were a bunch of DCs during the skull merchant PTB. And the Nemesis PTB had constant DCs, but I think there might have been an actual issue where the game itself was crashing for a bunch of people.
And because matchmaking is either turned off, or broken due to the low volume of players, the games can be really lopsided.

I never got disconnected/crashed over it, but I did have a lot of performance issues and some animations were VERY laggy. Having no issues on live servers.
I dealt with it because it was a PTB, but if it was that bad on live, I probably wouldn’t play until it was fixed.
