COH is technically a paid perk therfore should not have been illuminated
COH is a useful perk in soloq but I understand the abuse it could have been under in swf. However it was originally a paid for perk and people paid for characters for that perk. Maybe it self healed should not be completely illuminated but it should be considered just as powerful as a Ranger medkit.
Before you all jump down my throat. If these gen campers, face campers, and bleed outs continue and the devs do nothing to stop it medkits and self care are not going to cut it in soloq. It is so bad hookicides and DC's are a very common thing in every board now and there is no way you can get through getting gens done. You spend most of your time unhooking, healing, rinse and repeat. Most of the time you have a camper and that takes two to unhook.
Tunneling is a strategic move whether you agree with it or not but there are perks other than DH to use that are great because most campers can't endure the chase.
Right now I spent 15 minutes because a killer camped 3 gens and eventually killed us. If I wanted to play a non eventful 15 minute game I would plants VS zombies or spectate Friday the 13th after I get killed. Every game after today was a killer dominated game and it was not fun. My son played as survivor for the first time today, he is usually killer and just quit after two rounds because he was unable to do anything and was camped his first round unable to revive his teammates as they bled out, and his second was taken down by one hit with the Trickster twice. He just stopped. They will not get new people to play this game with the way it is now.

A couple things.
Mikaela could always been picked up with Iri Shards meaning she didn't cost any money to buy.
A perk being locked behind money has never stopped devs from nerfing it before if they were problematic. Mettle of Man and Decisive Strike has seen nerfs despite being on paid locked characters.

So basically no perk, or killer can be nerfed. Because we paid for it. Only buffs, because we don't mind that of course.

No it can be nerfed or buffed just not gutted. It was intended to heal yourself and others within a radius. So make the radius smaller. The thing is in soloq I have been in matches where the killer used the boon as hunting ground. I even had one wait for me to bless it, then snuff it, knock me down, and leave me there (they continued to that until we all eventually bled out) . I understand how overused it could have been in swf I get it, but in soloq is needed. No one wants to heal you in soloq, I am trying different things but soloq has dramatically changed in 3 months and the killers are just bad. At one point teamwork was plausible now it's everyone for himself and that's the way it is because more than half the camper killers you go up against and by the time you get a decent killer your already angry.
I also feel about this with all perks killer and survivor. If they put something out there you purchase then they have to stick to the core ideals of it and not gut it. Fair is fair.
I think this goes to show they don't actually have testers to see what goes on in their games for themselves.

CoH is nowhere near from gutted...
And soloQ is simply not something you should balance around, that would be shitshow.
That's same if I would say let's balance all killers around Pig, or Trapper. While ignoring Nurse and Blight even exist. They will destroy other side? Yeah, sucks to be them, but Trapper is viable, so that's enough.
That's simply not how it works.
We can talk about buffs for soloQ and try to make it SWF will not be affected by it. (mainly information buffs)
But soloQ simply shouldn't be some sort of gatekeeper for survivor nerfs.

A perk being free or not should never be a consideration as to whether it needs a nerf or not. If it’s overpowered, it’s overpowered. And CoH was.

It's a perk from an original character, meaning you could have gotten it for free. It's not a "paid" perk. If your argument is that paid perks should never be nerfed then man okay, fine, I guess that means eruption and call of brine should have never been nuked, and awaken awareness should have kept its lingering aura affect. I mea, I'm okay with that, but I don't think most survivor players would be.

CoH could be acquired by shards.
Ignoring that, a perk being paid is irrelevant. DS used to be permanently active, 5 sec stun, and had literally 0 counters or deactivation conditions. MoM used to work off 3 basic attacks, resulting in a free additional health state.
They were licensed perks. They were still changed. Why? Balance comes first. Otherwise, literally no perk after Huntress' chapter would be possible to change.

This perk should've never been released in the state it was released in the first place.
