Pig trap won’t kill in locker

i played a game where a vittorio hid in a locker while his trap was active so I just figured he’d die when his trap went off. Well the locker had 3 birds now and it went off but he didn’t die, and he didn’t even die when he got out of the locker (I had to pull him out and force him to wiggle off).
just get a trap active and have them hide in the locker while it counts down, and when it goes off see if it glitches
this only occurred once, and it is very unlikely as barely any pig mains and most people actually try getting their traps off
