Skull Merchant still bad

Her update to make her stuff "feel more useful in a chase" did nothing. She's the most aggravating killer to play around with. In general just in my opinion walking killers in this game with no teleport are no fun whatsoever, unless you just feel like holding down w going in circles

I prefer M1 killers, rather than Nurse, Wesker, Blight, or Spirit.

Those 4 have easier games, but I have to focus way more to use their power.

Your issue seems more like you simply don't like this type of killer. Killer can't be designed for everyone. Just keep playing whatever killer you like and chill.

    I disagree.

Skull merchant is actually underpowered, she has 0 mobility bonus and any exhaution perk a survivor can have actually means auto-break from chase.

This can loop on forever and this is why people still complain. It's not that she is "too good", its the opposite... she's so bad that chasing means insta losing so killers don't chase.

I was gonna say Michael Myers is like one of the few Exceptions

I do agree merchant is not the strongest killer in game. But I would still (and by insanely huge margin) face ANY other killer then her. With god-tier nurse, you will just loose in 5 minutes. 9 if she decides to slug you to death. With facecamping basement bubba you still have 1 exciting chase. With knight, you at least have to run away from his AI which is marginally more fun. Against SM, you just look at her kicking that gen AGAIN and placing another drone AGAIN.

Devs should really delete her, or killswitch and remake her all over. That would be SO GOOD CHANGE! The worst thing is - even if she is boring (for killers she is quite boring too, but for survivors she is unacceptable) and there were millions of threads in feedback saying as much. Devs still decided to boost her numbers by publishing her archives and actively lowering their player base for some unknown incomprehensible reason.

I feel versing her, or playing her is not fun. Versing her, her traps on gens just is a really annoying , unfun feature, she'd be good if we you know HAD DIFFERENT OBJECTIVES THAN JUST GENS. New Trials with new standards to power gates should be implemented, it would make the health way better for this game.

Playing her, she is just boring, its like trapper with kinda of more useless floating traps, shure once in a while she gets a insta down with her power but that's about as much fun as she provides

Her ONE mori is actually so bad as well, there needs to be variety for killers to use not just work towards the same one..over and over plus mix in survivors Dc'sing

The problem with Skull Merchant is she's one of the weakest AND strongest killers in the game.

If you play the game similar to, I don't know, let's say Doctor, you have a power that probably won't do anything unless the survivor is really dumb. You have massive markers that say "Go here if you want to be one shotted" even if you're on another floor, and the power can't be used to predict where the survivor might be. It's just "Get off the loop or be weakened".

And that's if the survivor isn't injured. If they are injured, the power does basically nothing. Sure, you're alerted where the survivor is via instinct, but that doesn't do anything on most of the loops in the game.

The "correct" way to play Skull Merchant is to slap a drone on the three gens you can patrol the most quickly and refuse to leave them until half of the survivors are dead. Every generator minus those three can be done, you still get a 3k at worst. Which means the game gets dragged on and on and on and on, and no one wants to play the game for an hour hoping the other side screws up enough for you to win or just plain gives up.

Yes! also the general fact that if you don't have these special tactics planned or practiced. For your average player, she sucks. She's like a sad excuse for predator. Its like they made Trapper but he can go undetectable near his traps and if you linger around one for a b o t length of time you get exposed. Her add-ons do pretty miniscule changes to help you out. Even her pinks and purples are trash and not really much of an influence to even notice.

She definitely needs more love and work to make her more fun, but like Nurse. She will probably sit in this state until they get to her .e.e

Personally, I feel she's a lost cause. Either survivors need to not be notified that the drone is even there, something that would take a lot of balancing to do correctly that I just don't see BHVR doing, or she needs to have a different power entirely.

I don't know how she fell to play against, I do like playing as her. You can be way more creative with her adeons, that chanse the way you play her.

I think calling her a lost cause is more of a emotinal response from desapointment of her relase.

I don't understand how anyone enjoys playing her.

Chasing people is the fun part of the game.

How much of the fun part are you participating in if you refuse to leave three specific generators.

It's also not fun AT ALL to sit there and run in circles breaking pallets. Worst part of the game

Then don't play m1 killers. They are not for all players.

Play Nurse, Blight, Spirit, Wesker and be happy. Why do you have to make whole post, just because you don't enjoy playing a killer?

I enjoy playing her quite a lot. I play mostly m1 killers, so I am used to it. She is not that bad, she is one of killers that can use hexes really well. Ruin or Devour will carry you a lot.

    Just git gud.
