Gen time is out of control right now.

Hi, killer main here.

With recent nerfs to healing and the final nail in the coffin that was the "CoB and Overcharge" nerf now the survivors just come in with BNP and Prove thyself and there is nothing that can be done by M1 killers or even the Oni (can't get power due to starting as one).

Honestly, with how big the maps are and the amounts of pallet there is everywhere... slow down perks were absolutely needed.

While I welcome the nerf to DH and CoH (those are really helpful as those perks were quite overpowered), seing how much killer got nerfed hard prior to that ... I would say the game is still heavily survivor sided still, granted they have to play in a specific playstyle for it to be so.

Generally at lower MMR as I was ranking up I felt good about the game, it was clearly better, but now as I ranked up quite a bit this month, all my games are just gen rushes after gens rushes and it feels really pathetic.

Often I will have a very favoring first down (less than a minute) and then I don't even have time to initiate a second chase that suddenly I am down 2 gens and then 2 more within like, 5 min tops.

It is ridiculous, perks that rewarded killers for downed survivors needs to be unerfed!

I am thinking eruption, pop the weasel or even heck, bring back gen kicking if you have to (not that I like that playstyle, but at least it makes nowhere to hide viable)

it's just not fun to see these games where the survivors just do gens and spam SB, lithe and balance landing to avoid interactions all match...

It’s understandable. Healing is much more punishing now. Naturally Survivors would want to minimize their chases because healing takes up time and doing gens injured can be risky. Some maps can allow for Survivors to chain loops/ predrop pallets/hold W so these would be abused as well.

If you are running M1 chase oriented Killers, one perk combination you could consider is Save the Best for Last, Dying Light, Scourge hook: Gift of Pain, Wildcard. You build STBFL stacks from chasing non Obsession Survivors and decrease gen repair speeds when you hook them via Dying Light. Gift of Pain forces the Survivors to either do gens injured or get healed and take the 16% decrease to repair speed.

I would agree except that, under the pre-tense that Nurse and Blight were OP... the devs made the map bigger and added a bunch of pallets.

Everytimes M1 killers tried to adapt it got hard nerfed, they even destroyed Hill Billy.

Currently, Survivors have a pletora of viable exhaustion perks that makes them faster than an M1 killer to the point they get to hold W across the map ... there is still no room for them to complain.

What survivors call oppressive right now is their inability to do the "Bully squad with 4 flaslights and CoH" strat in which they could just party around the killer endlessly knowing full well that DH would provide an extra health state and SB effect if they screwed up...

    So cry me a river.

Currently, what fuels all the camping and tunneling is precisely the fact that most killers can't afford a chase now that ALL methods of regressing gens have been nerfed into oblivion.

Never in the history of this game has an entire tool been dulled like that for any side.

Cool post, I'll look into those for sure, I just don't believe in dying light tbf.

    Medkits are far from useless.

It's still more effective than normal altruistic healing.

Not all methods, but most for sure.

    What I find viable:

    Pentimento + Plaything

    Jolt for M1 killers

    Eruption + Nowhere to hide

    Agitation + Pain resonance

    Deadlock + No way Out

I have been trying pop again, but usually as kinda secondary slowdown with eruption or Jolt.

Most M1 killers are weak, depends on map. But I still play them anyway. It's more relaxing session for me.

I had time where I was spamming Blight and Wesker, but I have to focus so much to use their power properly and it's exhausting.

M1 is mainly muscle memory mind games and hope for the best. So what if I lose few games.

When I want to try hard, my go to is Oni. That's kinda hybrid M1 with chance for comeback at any point of the game with his power.

I think Otz kinda ruined most killers with his 50 streak rules, where it's loss when anyone escape. If you believe it, then it's really stressful to get on 0 gens.

If you play around 2 draw, 3 win. It's way better for your DBD experience.

For me with oni the thing is that it's either 4k or no k.

It's either randos that do the craziest misplays of all time (hence no fun)

Or the absolute SWF experience with BNP and prove thyself with medkit with injectors.
