Overall design flaws list

Playing both sides, trying to be as objective as possible.

  • Gens rush is a massive problem, gen regression are now way too ineffective, they were OP but the nerf has been too hard
  • Survivors' items are a big problem, too fast healing, increase the gen rush that is already too strong
  • All one shot add-ons should be removed
  • Still some infinites or semi-infinites (loop way ay too strong) on some maps : haddonfield, garden of joy, Groaning store house, Mother's dwelling
  • Too many pallets on all maps with loops combination way too strong
  • Gideon maps totally broken, needs a deep rework, it is hell to play with some killers there (Billy, Nurse, Knight, pretty much all M1)
  • Skull Merchant is atm broken, needs a rework around her drones
  • The perk system is broken, they change way too much the way of playing and some of them completely shift the balance of the game
  • The grind is still too huge for new players and some perks are hidden behind a pay wall or time wall (shrine of secret), it is unfair
  • MMR should be resetted from time to time, you have changed the META but not the MMR, some players adapt better with changes than others

And most of all you should stop to do the same mistakes that you have done 7 years ago, especially when designing the maps...

I guess the community will add their point of view or other flaws. Hope you wil lread it cause we would like to enjoy DbD without frustration... and design abuse from some players.

    Lol gen rush all there is to do before the game turns into a slug unhook fest. I dont understand these killers when nearly every game I play the killer completely takes over at 2 gens, usually sooner. Literally 70% of games are 4k...hatch might aswell not exist during the 1v1. Bad killers definitely have a hard time with survivors used to getting bent over most games lol.

    You forgot, that gideon is actually one of the best maps for nurse too (imagine there is no midwitch in game. Which map favors nurse more then gideon?).

    Overall I have to agree with @DaddyMyers_Mori . I pretty much disagree with everything in this post with a few exceptions (SM is indeed broken - and I don't talk about her power. Her design is absolutely the worst no matter how high or how low her kill rate is)

    The instant-down add-ons shouldn't be removed, they should just be a High risk, High reward play style like the Iridescent head limiting the number of hatchets to 1 no matter.

    Also two flaws with the game I would like to mention is Killers get punished in the games more than the survivors like having a harder time to camp when the game is going bad for them but built in Borrowed Time making it harder to get a 1K at the end of the game and survivors being able to 99% the exit gates to avoid endgame collapse is not considered an exploit for some reason.

    How is that an exploit lol? Wth. Correct me if im wrong but killers can whack the exit gate button and it opens. God you killers are ridiculous. To appease you we'd need to be put in a map with 5 gens and nothing else but hooks so you MIGHT be happy.

    Survivors can open the gate instantly and delay the endgame collapse when it's left at 99% pretty much giving the killer no chance to do anything and it sounds like abusing a game mechanic to avoid consequence and the only time a killer would wack an exit gate is if it is already at 99%, bloodwarden, or is letting the survivor(s) go.

    EGC wasn't in the game before. It was introduced to break a state of game, where killer waits for survivor and survivor just hides - make the game progress in some way.

    To resolve this, devs decided to kill all survivors once 2/4 minutes run up (giving advantage to killer instead of having even, but boring outcome). Solving the issue for good (killer can force EGC or chase, survivors have to leave or die to entity)

    Now you come and call this killer-favoring mechanics survivor-exploit.

    And basically the same thing with BT - without it anyone can facecamp survivor, ignore everything around him (meaning other survivors trying to unhook said survivor), just waiting until unhooked person touches ground, but before he can move an inch and immediatelly downing him again.

    You call this fair game from killer's point of view? Do you really consider 0 counterplay (there is exactly 0 possibility to even bodyblock for unhooked survivor, let alone unhook him safely or vive him chance to move to loop) fair?

    Don't you feel a little killer biased now?

    Survivors can leave the exit gate at 99% and open it instantly while avoiding the endgame collapse and the killer can't regress it and can almost do nothing about it except for pause the progress which sounds like abusing a game mechanic to avoid consequence and wacking the door is almost never useful unless you have blood warden.
