Last man standing / Mori Changes
So almost a year ago it got announced that we will see changes for Memento Mori and endgame as "Last man standing" with self-healing pick ups but haven't got any new informations about it since then.
Does it got scraped or will we finally see something more this anniversary?
What are your thoughts?

That showcase was responded to negatively overall. I feel that this idea has - at the very least - been shelved for the foreseeable future.

They are probably taking time to refine the idea because community reaction was generally negative. We might hear more about it in the anniversary stream

According to Mandy, those features were part of a larger update and the iterations of last man standing, self pickup and end game mori were early versions that the designers needed feedback on for further development.
It will most likely be back in a future update.

This feature reminds me a lot of when they were testing closing the hatch.
First PTB we ever got of that was literally just close the hatch and that was it. The remaining Survivor(s) still had to repair gens to power the gate. Later they expanded on this in another PTB and made it so the gates would be powered once the hatch was closed. Then the mechanic seemed like it was scrapped and forgotten, until roughly a year later where they announced the Endgame Collapse.
I have a feeling were going to be testing a 2nd iteration of this mechanic either this next chapter, or its mid chapter. I just hope I can get my artistic mori's done before then, its just hard to find people to do it since they take so much time

I'd like to see the feature come back. It was just stupid that it completely hardcountered any self unhook and self pickup perk, active Decisive Strikes, etc. But the idea was good. Just need to make it not activate if someone can self unhook or self pickup is all.

Mandy responded to a similar post within the last few days advising that these were pieces of a larger concept that was intended for testing on the PTB only, and even at the time of testing it was specified that nothing may come of it. The indication of the post was that the entire project would have to be released, not just parts of it, and it didn't seem likely.

I hope it doesn't come back. Terrible Idea.

This was tested in a PTB which was an early prototype version, as we said then - this was a very early test and nothing that was tested in that PTB was guaranteed to come to the Live game.

Do not forget that Behavior itself, through the Dead by Daylight Twitter account, let it be understood that they have not given up on the system, they are making adjustments for a possible test again and even a possible release of it, remembering that the rework of the memento mori which was tested with the unbreakable base kit in the same PTB, it may be in the Year 7 plan as announced on twitter.

I am very aware about that, and that's pretty much what I said in my response - nothing was guaranteed to come to live game, we tested a variety of things with the finisher mori, on a very early prototype.

I didn't like how they initially planned it, with 45 second built in unbreakable, but if they were to introduce it when there is only 2 people left in the match to prevent slugging forever for the 4k or when there is only one person left standing to keep from slugging a team to death, or to give a bleed out option instead.

That was asinine. Made strong killers stronger and allowed an incredibly toxic survivor "No-pickup" meta

Simple. Best possible outcome is yellow mori basekit. The basekit unbreakable was just absurd and the top 3 killers would become even stronger. Both those outcomes are undesirable.

What I hated about it was it was automatic. Whether to Mori or how many survivors to Mori should be a choice the killer makes with offerings or perks. I say that as a player of both sides.
Does anyone honestly hate the current Mori system for a reason other than they are a veteran player from when it was broken AF? I hear from BHVR that players think that the Mori system is "toxic" and yet... I've never heard that from an actual player... So, who out there is such a player? Please, explain to me what is so toxic?
