Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Holding Crouch + [button] to go Prone

Just throwing out another idea to the Devs:

Since survivors can crawl when downed, why not allow them to go Prone at any time?

The point of this would be to hide in places where it’s not easy to hide, like behind small walls, or as Ash says, become a “snake in the grass”.

You wouldn’t be able to crawl fast or anything, so it’s not meant to give an advantage other than hiding better.

It would be unrealistic for hitboxes, if the hitbox was higher than the model in prone position the hits wouldn't make any sense and look very goofy. If the hitboxes were realistic the killer literally would not be able to hit a prone survivor without using a ranged power of some sorts because your swing doesn't go all the way to the ground. Survivor hitboxes are already janky when they are healing each other.

It's an interesting idea but probably not something that could be properly implemented at the moment. Unless of course they did something goofy and allowed the killer to pick up a survivor if they found them prone in a bush or something along those lines.

Although, I am no game developer and maybe this could be quite easily in the game, I'm welcome to be proven wrong!
