Boring Meta
So I would consider myself a survivor main. I play both sides but i normally only play killer to get them to iri 1 for the blood points and then I go back to survivor. I got to say Survivors are getting really bad on what they consider "Boring". So first it was the Ruin/Undying, then Scourge Hook/Deadmans, then the infamous Gen Kick builds all boring. So i was playing killer a few days ago and I was running no slow down just Agitation, Starstruck, No where to hide, lethal. A little aura read with a very high risk high reward starstruck. 3 different teams I went against called me meta and its a boring playstyle that shouldn't be in the game. So my question is exactly what perks are a fun combination killers can use that survivors do not call "Boring" these days?

Fun perks are almost never Meta because they are "fun". Effective perks become Meta because they actually help you win games : like CoB+OC before both basically got deleted from the game.

The Ruin/Undying meta was badly designed as it walled out new players and players with sensory problems. If it's only harming new players and people with disabilities then the design is just bad.
The 3 Gen meta was just boring. Killer strategies should not include dragging the match out till the other side gives up due to boredom.
I didn't care too much about Scourge Hook. It was just a thing. I get it was hard to handle in solo queue, but loads of things are. You don't see Cenobite getting a rework to make him counterable in solo queue.
I'm happier when Killers can get a down faster rather than extending the match length. Hopefully BHVR focuses more on offensive Killer perks rather than slow down.

Excuse my ignorance, but how did Ruin/Undying hurt people with sensory problems?

You don't see totems when you are blind? probably...
First version of undying was kinda broken tho. I don't think Ruin was supposed to be nerfed this much.

This is why often times you just don't listen to some survivors. It isn't worth it in the long run as some people will complain about anything they lose to or just doesn't allow them to just play like a bot.

I would say you can see this on both sides.

I agree

There's a vast array of conditions which impact cognition. Things that can impact reaction time, such as taking longer to clearly identify the dial against the background. The original Ruin had the potential to place a ridiculous burden on those with cognitive difficulties. Going as far as to make gens inaccessible to some players.

He is talking about old old ruin that required you to hit great skillchecks all the time probably.
There are things that are "objectively" (for lack of better term. Technically, it's still subjective) boring things like being stuck in a hour long gen-defense game with old cob+oc knight or with current skull merchant and then there are things that just spoil the fun on the other side. Like killer bringing no-heal build only to find 4x no mither survivors. Or survivors trying to take flashlights only to encounter lightborn. Or going sabo build against your starstruck. Or going full heal build against plague. Or taking mirror meyers only for survivors bringing you to ormond.
The first thing should be addressed. The second should be endured/ignored in my opinion.

Oh yeah that makes sense. But that was before Undying wasn't it? That's why I was confused.

I think we are in the most chase oriented meta in the game, thus i a believe in a very fun meta.
Some survivors will can "unfun" any game that they can't win, so i don't think you should mind that.

AFAIK no. U had time of old undying and old old ruin, where u had to get rid of 5 totems, or consistently hit great skillchecks all the time if you were extremely unlucky.
But I wasn't playing at that time and only heart stories about it.

None, It's really sad...

There is nothing you can do OP, calling something "Boring" is what survivors do when they can't win through a build so they ask said build to be nerfed by the devs.
There is no build that won't make them complain ever, unless you play clown nice guy that can't win at all... which is equivalent to handing out free wins.
essentially, until the devs revert previous nerfs to killer and actually look at Nurse and Blight to nerf them proper and buff trapper and pig for crying out loud...
Until an actual effort to balance the killers between each others is made to give us a decent playing field...
All the survivors will do is sit on com with their sweaty friends to rush the 5 gens under 5 min and leave with no interaction with the killer whatsoever.
They have maps the size of the continent of africa, unpatrollable gens on the second floor adjacent to a window that sends them back to first floor outside to safety, they have BNP and prove thyself to start the game at 4 gens and yet, it is killer that gets the nerf.
they nerfed DH but its not really a nerf, its still a very solid perk in mid game and late and many survivors that have actual skills still uses it to good effect...
But killer's toolbox keep srinking every god forsaken patches... its unplayable for killers.
