Impossible or close to impossible challenges.
Theres the one in the current tome called Team Player. you have to blind a killer that is carrying someone while having that rentaro perk equipped. it is near impossible to get a blind. killers are all using fraklins or lightborn so blind is impossible. then they just tunnel you for bringing flashlights or flash bang etc. they have told me they tunneled to punish me for bringing that stuff. the other issue is that it just doesnt work. i do the flashlight in thoer whole head and neck from the front and i drop the flash bang and firecrackers either on top of them or in front of them as they pick up.....and nothing. some people have no issues and i know i can just skip it but i think challenges like this shouldnt be a thing. ive been working on this for 4 hours at this point and ive done every tactic suggest to me. can we please stop these type of challenges that are next to impossible to do or the ones you have to throw the game just to do?

The killers at my mmr dodge the lobby if I bring a flashlight, so I need to equip Residual Manifest to get a flashlight from a chest in game. Then I have to run Empathy to know where to be when the injured survivor goes down. Then I have to bring Iron Will in case I'm injured and don't want the killer to easily hear me nearby. Then Background Player for the archive.
I've failed multiple times to get the blind.
Then I get a macth with Nancy. We both work the gen and I take off when I see Ada get injured. I wait for Ada to go down, but just as she does, Nancy shows up, runs in, the killer sees her, Nancy kites the killer right past me, and I'm stuck tanking the hit and go down soon after.
After the match, I saw that Nancy didn't even have Background Player, nor did she have Empathy (which meant she followed me to the chase).
Oh, and after Nancy and Ada unhooked me, they bodyblocked me under the hook so I couldn't move until the killer came back.

yeah i dont know what im doing wrong then. when they are not running light born or franklins or punishing me by tunneling......the flashlight is directly on thier face and i make sure flashbang etc is on or in front of them. i dont know how its skill when the crap dont wanna work or killers have all the means to counter it. my comment also goes to the other challenges on both sides, that force you to throw the game trying to go for it. im not saying they all have to be simple things or grinding....but to have challenges that are near impossible is frustrating.

and of top of it all I have to dodge lobbies if I see other survivors bringing flashlights. It means the killer is much more likely to bring Lightborn, Franklin's, or spend the extra 10 seconds checking nearby before picking up.

Killer had Franklin's... Everyone dead at 4 gens.
Great challenge. Survivor's don't have to throw for 20 matches in a row to get it done.
Easy enough that 30% of the survivors in my matches aren't also working on this same challenge.
For the next few weeks playing killer, I have no reason to unequip Lightborn.

Wait near a downed survivor.
Wait for killer to start picking them up.
Blind during the pickup animation.
You don't even have to make them drop I think, so if you blind too early the challenge is done unless the killer has lightborn.
You've worked on a challenge for 4 hours? It took literal months for me to kill four survivors in the basement.

Ok, I'll break it to you. It's the one of "trash" challenges where you need to botch your team and do something stupid instead of playing, like 80% of survivor's challenges and achievements: if someone doing a cheevo, it's a GG from the start.
- Take flashlight, required perk, "distortion" and NO exhaustion perks. All four are very important.
- If you see more than one flashlight in a lobby, or even one, drop it. Killer will be more careful or take Lighborn.
- Hover the chased survivor from afar. There are two scenarios:
- killer is careless: then you run towards killer and do a flashlight save
- killer is ok: you need to make him believe no one is around. That's where Distortion come to play. If after dowining survivor he kicks a gen with "Nowhere to hide", down and hook another survivor with "BBQ & Chili" or something similar, stay and wait till he return to your first downed survivor. Never help downed, don't spoil your position.
Pretty easy if you play like scumbag and throw the match for your team. Survivor's challenges are super "fun", insanely grindy and boring. Killer ones are done in couple relaxed evenings. I understand why, but I think "throwing team" part should be removed, frankly....

Damn, I wish when I was playing killer for challenges it was "relaxing".
Most of the time I feel myself tensing to finish those challenges lol.

But, on earth, how? Last two years, every tome, every rift, every page unlocked, I do 2-3 killer challenges a day, 90% each challenge in one match. I even started to restrain myself to do no more than 2-3 challenges in a day. And all killer ones gone in 3 days, always. As survivor, it's a pain train. Majority of challenges are either "be a moron and throw match for you team" or "play 10 matches and if you lucky, you progress couple points on one challenge".
The only EASY ones for survivor are like "repair N gens". All others are like "make stars align in rare constellation or deliberately fail every match in hunt for one progress point"
The only hard ones (no, i'm wrong, the ones that require you to play more than one match) are "sacrifice more than 4 survivors".
Tell me which challenges you are struggling with, maybe I'd be useful and help you with them and give some hints.

It's not the particular challenges im struggling, just playing killer pushes some weird buttons that makes me just tense up.
I'm not saying the challenges aren't easy, because they are. But the matches themselfes, after I'm done with a challenge, aren't that relaxing. It's just the way I function while playing killer I guess.
