Nemesis(the perk) doesn't work with game afoot

Step 1 - Loaded into a match with game afoot and nemesis(the perk) as nemesis(the killer).
Step 2 - Hit a non-obsession player with a basic attack, which activates game afoot to make them the new obsession.
Step 3 - Nemesis does not activate like how it is described in the perk description. It should activate when the obsession changes from game afoot but it does not.
Additional information
- I was playing nemesis(the killer)
- The perks I used were game afoot and nemesis
- Furtive chase changing the obsession does work with nemesis(the perk), but doesn't work when game afoot changes the obsession.
- Happened in a real match and when I tested it in a custom lobby against a bot.
