Attempted Escape just before reaching second stage - Inconsistent UI as a result

PC - Steam. On a game in the game map I attempted escape off hook moments before second stage, and luckily got off. However, on my friend's screen i was stated as only on 1 hook, while my screen said I was on 2 hooks. after being hooked a second time, I started on second stage but seconds after was killed in a similar fashion to when youre hooked while being the last player in the match.
