Wouldn't it be better for the game if BNP and Syringe are gone for balance sake?
Isn't it a splendid choice to remove Brand New Part and Anti-Haemorrhagic Syringe for good? They're unhealthy to keep them in the game and makes the game unbalanced.

I’d be fine at least nerfing both. BNP is especially overpowered in the hands of SWF teams when they bring 2 or more.

I don't really find either to be particularly OP at this point in time.

Brand New Part on four toolboxes is absolutely unfair. I think I would be fine if only one/two survivor(s) could have it during a game. Anti-Haemorrhagic Syringe is what I'm conflicted about because it can be abused in lots of situations but most people just use it when they get off hook.

Syringe is completely fine. BNP can go though.

Syringe is annoying, but not too problematic. BNP should definitely be up for review though, it's nowhere near the nightmare that original BNP was, but it still enables your team to cheese the game.
3 -
So what would you replace them with?
2 -
BNP maybe, but not syringe. it destroys the med kit and takes the normal time to heal. its only slightly op when its got like 30 boosts behind it, like idk botany with CoH and desperate measures 4 stacked with we'll make it level. And it takes longer to heal yourself anyways. The timer means the counter is to just down them before then.
BNP does 22.5 seconds of progress in 5 seconds. 22.5 x 4 = 90s to regress something done in 5.

Syringe is currently fine for iri add on. BNP could use a number nerf imo, make it weaker. If its just one in match its whatever but if they use multiple its too strong

Y’all literally just got nerfs to medkits and COH now you want the syringe and BNP gone? You realize BNP only gives 15% now and that’s if you hit both hard skillchecks? Syringe takes time to kick in and if you get hit while it’s processing you lose it.
They do not need to be gone. Y’all just want every survivor item and add on gone at this point. 🤣🤣🤣

BNP adds 15% progress over 5 seconds and hitting each of the 2 skill checks grants 5% each. BNP adds a total of 25% of a gen and 4 of them is 100% of a gen.
BNP is too strong given all the other balance changes the game has gotten towards the killer's ability to defend gens.
7 -
BNP add a check point to a Gen, which that Gen can not regress further than the check point. Which useless early game but really important in late game. Especially if there are only 3 survivors left.
Syringe is already got a nerf to 24sec.

At this point Syringe is pretty okay in my opinion.
BNP I could see gone and not bat an eye. I really don't care for it and I think it's a little too strong.

Syringe is fine in the current meta, and I think most survivors would be more than willing to give up BNP if killers gave up insta down add-ons.
1 -
So long as killers lose all their iri addons, sure
2 -
Surely you can see where problems arise when an addon allows you to do something that should take ~20 seconds in 5 seconds. Literally a quarter of the time it normally would take.

Syringe heals in 16 seconds
And yea the add ons are probaly too strong
0 -
It heals in 16 seconds but is affected by modifiers to healing speed so it can be faster or slower. I believe with the med-kit changes, syringe should be 24 second heal when applied to yourself.
1 -
- The affected Survivor will passively gain 1 Health State 16 seconds after use.
- The time required can be modified by Perks and Add-ons that affect Healing speeds.
From the dbd wiki, it can be effected by perks and add ons but i believe at base even if you use it on yourself its 16 seconds.
0 -
If it's modified by healing speeds, that means that the medkit's inherent healing speed debuff should apply, right?
Either way, to the overall topic: I think syringes are fine, as others have said, but BNPs and toolboxes as a whole are the next big balance issue to address on the survivor side.

Syringe is ok right now... BNP has to fly away from dbd
1 -
I would be 100% OK with hard deleting BNP+Syringe+Blight+Nurse. It would make the games a lot more enjoyable on both sides.
1 -
You mean like killer add ons or perks that let you down someone immediately?
0 -
Those all require specific circumstances in order to activate the insta-down. BNP installation just happens.
0 -
They could just make it like syringe and have bnp destroy the toolbox
0 -
Anti syringe is fine imo beause it has a delay, no effect if damaged or you're in a situation which doesnt allow healing when it pops, and you need to stop and take a second to use it, which can easily be deadly.
Its best used to extend medkits for one last heal or emergency healing

BNP and Syringe have been nerfed into the ground and people generally don't even bother. BNP and Syringe used to actually be insta. Those were the days. Even the old iteration would not be OP at a time when killers now have so many aura perks and built-ins they can practically see the survs the entire match.

Neither are really OP at the time to me.
I bring them to matches all the time and we still all get sacrificed.
If they keep nerfing and removing all our items, we won't have anyhting left. Medkits are already homogeneous now. Please don't do this to the last of the items.

A better equivalent would be a killer perk or addon that let's you kill a survivor in the first 5 seconds of the game (which thankfully no longer exists).

BNP is problematic. It really needs to get knocked down pretty hard (and yes there are killer addons that should be addressed like myers tombstone pieces). Both sides have some busted stuff (although survivor is less character specific obliviously).
Syringe never bothered me much. Remove the unique interaction with freddy though

yeah I 100% agree. You should have to choose between consistent value or a massive boost, not both. Too often I see a commodius with bnp and wire spool, so that even after the insta 25% they still get like 30s of 50% bonus.
