Steam Family Share and Cosmetics

Friend of mine who doesn't play as much anymore offered to family share their account with me.
I've heard that this will allow you to use Characters that they own but I'm not if that is the case for cosmetics as well.
If anyone knows about this please let me know, I'd appreciate it!

It can affect some cosmetics, those that come with DLC purchases (eg Quentins and Laurie’s alt outfits). Otherwise, no, cosmetics do not get shared.
also keep in mind it does only affect characters purchased via DLCs and not those bought with in-game currency!
