Can't queue up with friends in any capacity on Switch version

This happens every time we try to play either a survivor match or a custom game. Someone will have their ready up button grayed out and on the odd occasion we can all ready up it kicks one of us from the queue. In the case of custom games it won't start the match if one of us is kicked. We can look past the optimization issues, it is a Switch after all, but we at least want to play the game with each other. It's things like this that keep us from recommending the game to other people.

I've brought this up to support myself. They brush it off as our internet being the problem.
