Switch friending Pc Problem

I tried friending a friend from dbd on my switch to their pc but it just says there is no one matching my search? The same goes from the pc to switch. Does anyone know why that is?

    I believe there's a current bug regarding adding friends (and inviting them?) on all platforms and that it's being investigated.
