Lets talk about Jane Romero's perks

Jane has always been an interesting character in the entity's realms and received a lot of attention upon release her cosmetics are always stunning but despite her having such a cool and body-inclusive character design, her perks never really got any love from the devs.

Head-On is without a doubt her best perk and has been showcased in many meme builds but even then, it is HEAVILY outclassed by other survivor perks or exhaustion perks in general. Let's look at some ideas for her perks.

Solidarity:

  • Now: Sharing painful experiences has the power to heal. When injured, healing another survivor without using a Med-kit also heals you with a Conversion rate of 40/45/50 %.
  • New: Sharing painful experiences has the power to heal. When injured, healing another survivor without using a Medkit also heals you with a Conversion rate of 50/75/100%. The conversion rate is cut in half if a Medkit is used to heal.

Poised:

  • Now: Achieving goals boosts your confidence. After a generator is completed, you will not leave any scratch marks for the next 6/8/10 seconds.
  • New: Achieving goals boosts your confidence. After a generator is completed, press the second ability button while running to activate the perk for 10/12/14 seconds. During this time, leave no scratch marks, grunts of pain, and all fast vaults are silenced. Afterward, the perk is deactivated.

Head On:

  • Now: When your mind is set, there better be no one standing in your way. While standing in a locker for 3 secondsHead On activates: When performing a rushed action to leave a Locker, stun the Killer for 3 seconds if they are within range. Head On causes the exhausted Status Effect for 60/50/40 seconds.
  • New: When your mind is set, there better be no one standing in your way, While standing in a locker for 3 seconds, Head On activates. During this time the locker's aura is revealed to all survivors in a white aura as long as you are inside and not exhausted. When performing a rushed action to leave a Locker, stun the killer for 3.5 seconds if they are within range. Head On causes the exhausted Status Effect for 40/35/30 seconds.

It's shocking that her perks never got any love or attention from the devs ever since her release so hopefully in the upcoming patches, they'd at least look into what they could do for her perks because I think they have potential especially Head On but its mostly seen in meme builds.

    I've wanted Solidarity to be 100% for so long it's unreal. I would start using it with Autodidact immediately. I don't think it'd be OP because it requires 2 (injured) survivors and no use of medkits allowed.

    Head On should highlight a locker in yellow for your teammates, or maybe make blindness not a thing inside the locker. That would be enough I think.

    Making Solidarity 100% conversion rate would make it so much better and yes I agree, it wouldn't be OP because it requires specific conditions to be met. 50% was too safe making it barely helpful in any match so no wonder no one runs it.

    Not to mention that the changed Mangled status effect really kills Solidarity. And Resurgence, which can be a fun combo to use with Solidarity.

    head on is fun

    I remember the early days where the hit box was bugged sometimes and hell you’d stun a killer that’s not even near the locker

    It'd be nice if Solidarity at least countered haemorrhage. I have Jane on the Switch but not sure I want to buy her on the PS5 because I never used any of her perks on the Switch, and with so many killers running Sloppy I feel like there's even less incentive.

    Head On is great fun perk that is unique.

    Solidarity kinda sucks, it is even worse because Sloppy Butcher is rly popular.

    Poised is not good and not fun imo.

    The QoL for Head On is okay I guess.

    I've always wanted the other two perks to be slightly useful. Solidarity should have been buffed since the last healing nerfs, because it actually is an incentive for people who group up to heal, which was the whole point of the medkits and self-heal nerfs.

    About Poised I used to think of a token system that by working on gens makes you get tokens and once you get in the killer's TR these tokens are used, each token being a certain amount of seconds, hiding your scratch marks. This would make Poised a longer use perk that would make it attractive, without obviously being overpowered. Kind of the Distorsion treatment, but for scratch marks, and being gained by working on gens to keep the accuracy of the perk icon and description.

    Thoughts? :)

    Please don't add another half second to Head On, its already annoying enough for SWFs. They don't need .5 second more.

    That's true. I completely forgot about the Mangled or hemorrhage status effect.

    Solidarity having a 100% conversion rate would somewhat circumvent the status effect assuming the heal isn't interrupted.

    I actually considered something quite similar to your poised idea but just ultimately scrapped it into a "activate ability" perk to give it more versatility especially in a chase which may help in clutch plays.
