plight as a regular solo survivor and m1 killer
Hi all,
Let me preface by saying that nothing I am about to say is new.
I little bit of background: I have been playing DBD regularly since the Silent Hill release and have had not much reason to complain until the last year or so. I play about 40% solo survivor, 45% swf (2, 3 person) survivor, and maybe 15% killer. I am a better-than-average looper and regularly take killers for 2-3 gen runs. On the killer side, I play strictly m1 killers and consider myself a Myers main. I recently returned from a 6-month break from the game but have been playing regularly again for a couple of months.
My concern: For some time now I find myself frustrated with all portions of gameplay. I usually prefer to play a more relaxing game as Survivor, even solo Survivor is more relaxing than Killer. However, i find that 75% and more of my survivor matches (swf or solo) have been extremely unfun. Either the killer is running best addons and/or meta build, playing extremely sweaty OR survivors (especially solo) give up on hook or throw match early. My time is better spent doing pretty much anything else. So usually after a couple of hours of getting my butt handed to me as survivor, i will try my hand at killer. Results there are even more frustrating, it seems like groups that i get in solo queue never show up in my killer lobbies - not that I want them.
Conclusions: Game is more frustrating than fun. MMR is miserable at whatever level I am at. I will seriously consider looking for alternatives to DBD, especially in August. M1 killers need much more help. On Myers in particular I would happily accept losing his insta-kill addons to receive a proportional improvement to his base kit. Let's face it...there aren't many people that like the insta-kill addons. I personally hate using them and only use them when I feel like I am going against a 4 person swf that I suspect to be a bully squad.

MMR needs to be gone, but they've put too much work in it to be abandoned.

75% unfun? I could count with one hand how many survivor matches was fun out of hundred.
All games are goes by only three scenarios:
1) killer down, camp and tunnel single survivor from the beginning (at 5 hens)
2) killer play normally, but if there is a chance to lose, goes for camping/tunneling (at 2 gens)
3) killer try to tunnel survivor, but survivor is top-tier, so after couple minutes he just DC

1,300 hours on PC and 1300+ on PS4/5. I got these two survivors in the same game. THAT is the state of MMR.
