Strategic Alliance Tome challenge bug

So I'm playing on the Microsoft Store version on PC. I'm doing tome challenges. I've noticed a weird bug with only one challenge I've seen. Strategic Alliance, a challenge where you have to do cooperative actions for a solid 6 minutes(360 seconds) is by no means a difficult challenge. Long yes but relatively easy.
However, there is a glitch where even if I 100% a gen with someone it won't count towards the 360. I only was able to make progress on the very last gen of the match.
Has anyone else experienced this? Apparently, this is fairly common in the past with this type of mission
UPDATE:
As of June 19, this bug still exists. My teammate and I completed a gen together but it didn't count at all for her
