Suggestion for New Map/Killer

Earlier today I was running a few errands, and got an amazing idea for a potential map. Something that I've always found creepy/alluring is abandoned shopping malls. A two level shopping center would be a fantastic idea for a map, with certain shops open for potential generator locations.

The killer could be something like

  • college dropout
  • rogue security officer
  • deceased clerk

or something entirely different. As a developer myself (only starting), it's something that I would play, enjoy, and probably get freaked out the next time I went shopping. haha.

What are some other thoughts on this?

i as of myself would hate the addition of jet another two level map, but i like the idea of a shopping mall.

You also could include storage rooms and such into the map, or a parking lot.

As of for the killer, if you put the mall into a christmas like stage, we could have a mall-santa-killer. Thats the thing i would think of first when thinking about people connected to a mall.

So talking about the santa style killer, that wouldn't work out, because they use Christmas season for different outfits. However, I had a BRILLIANT idea for a mall map killer. The creepiest thing in a deserted shopping mall honestly... The Mannequin!!!

Would have other mannequins strategically placed around the map that it could either switch places with, or use for stealth. The mannequins could be knocked over by survivors, or sabotaged so that the killer couldn't use them for a duration.

@Kameleon_Drake how about the mannequins take the look of a survivor in trial and do tasks survivors usually do (do gens, heal, search chests) But in fact these mannequins are actually sabotaging these things

I always wanted them to add the shopping mall from Silent Hill into that realm

Yes, we need more indoor maps and this is a great idea. Another I'd like to see is a high school, like Sunnydale or from The Faculty. Even better would be both of these in the same realm so they're covered by a single map offering.
