DC-Penalty Timer Reset?

My game crashed multiple times Today- and Yesterday and the game thought i did a dc. The timer always increased since Yesterday first 1, then 5 and two times 15 Minutes. Im worried that it will always increase. So does the Timer reset sometimes? It would suck to get banned for a Hour or more or even permanently because of crashes.

It does start to reduce the punishment for the penalties yes, but we don't know the timeframe for it, which is deliberate so people can't game the system.
