Surviving with friends is severely broken - constant errors, not getting into matches together, etc.
This started randomly last night after a match and has continued on for a full day now. Shortly after it started I attempted to quit and restart the game and got an error message when attempting to boot up the game. I sent the report using the provided report button. Restarting steam allowed me to boot up the game successfully. I also verified steam files multiple times. I have also fully uninstalled and then reinstalled the game. Nothing seems to work.
The issue prevents me from doing a lot of lobby related stuff when attempting to play with friends.
- I often can't join a party in a lobby, it just shows a rotating circle of bones on the right side of the screen and then eventually errors with an "unknown error" message.
- When people join my lobby I do not see them. Even though they see me and can see me switch characters, ready up and un-ready.
- When these invisible players write in chat it shows their names as --:
- PC players who are friends seem to get a "unknown error" when trying to connect to my lobby. I had one PC friend who constantly got this, but another had no issue.
- The only type of invite that works consistently to get into a party lobby is via Steam invite. It will almost always load me into the lobby, but that is where the rest of the issues begin.
- If I can get in a party lobby with friends, the player readiness never matches what my friends tell me they are set to. It will show not ready when they are really ready, and sometimes ready when they are not ready.
- It doesn't always show the current player character they have selected either. I see their old character still.
- It will say only part of the party is ready but will launch us into a match.
- It often times puts everyone else into a match except for me and on my screen it is stuck saying "joining match" in red text next to where you ready up. I can not cancel or leave party until another member of the party backs out of the match and back to the lobby.
- It will show other players as "in match" even when they are back in the lobby. We have found that if they ready and then unready multiple times it seems to reset their presence on my screen.
This is making it a nightmare to survive with friends. We spends 5 to 10 minutes every match trying to get me into a match with them. No one else seems to be having this problem expect when attempting to play with me.
What is going on and how do I fix this!?

I have almost 2000 hours on steam with friends on this game, and we have been having this for weeks now, to the point where I am almost done with the game.

Same here, I’ve been having this continuous problem reload after uninstall after restarting my pc, everything. I might just repost this exact thing as I’m having all the same issues as you. Let me know if you find a solution because I’ve only found vague work arounds that sometimes work and uninstalling seems to change nothing.

Yes, for almost two weeks now I've been having this same problem and I spend a lot of time in the lobby to the point where I'm discouring my friends :(
