Event Effects Are Affecting FPS

Before the event update, I could play at 120 frames without any FPS drops whatsoever. I have noticed that the unoptimized event effects are tanking my FPS. I would really like to play the event, but it feels gross losing FPS when I do literally anything in game. All my drivers are up to date so it's definitely not my PC and I use steam like the majority of PC players.
Edit - Never mind. My nvidia settings were altered for some reason. The game runs smoothly now.
