Made for this is making Knight's guards non-functional, unable to be used outside of the corner now
At the moment, summoning a guard in chase is an objective distance loss that you can't make up before the guard timer expires.
It's a very silly sentence to say, but that 3 percent speed boost is making it so survivors can just hold w and gain massive distance. What is the guard's utility supposed to be if you can't force the survivor to commit to a loop with it?
Between this and the guards not being able to detect running survivors without map of the realm, Knight is just a general bad vibe.

knight's weakness was always hold-w vs his guards. he was always weak towards strong survivor that knew how to hold-w.. he relied on corner-killing before he got his slight post-ptb tweaks. MFT just exposes his weakness further. that is why instant-dropped guards with 2x jailer+map of the realm so that you would not lose distance is strat on knight to corner survivors into free hits. he fails to get rewarded for using long range patrols with precision due to hold-w strategies and gets rewarded for zoning people to the corner. MFT brings back his old weakness before he got changed so now your forced to use his old strategies.

I literally see no difference to MfT and not having the perk. The correct gameplay around knight is the same. And if somebody does not mess up bad, it always ends the same way - if you are in corner, you will get hit. Otherwise you will get away. MfT does not change anything about this (and the fact that this killer is like a flip chart of correct decisions on both sides with no room for player agency is one of the reason many people don't like him - ofc, many is not all).

You know survivors can just run the opposite way right? The guard always starts where the survivor is spotted, so there is nothing stopping the survivor from just running through the guard detection circle and running away from you.
During this time you have made no distance and have no means to make them commit to a loop.
Which is the problem here, the knight doesn't have a power if his utility is making himself stationary and summoning a homing projectile that moves slower than the survivor.
In the worst way possible the old "######### the guard out at a loop is the optimal strategy" is real again.
