Wesker stuck permanently at exit gate

On PC and took place in Eyrie of crows but not sure the map itself caused it
Grabbed a Rebecca trying to flashlight blind me the exact moment she exited, game seemed to register me successfully grabbing her but it counted her as escaped and I was locked like this permanently until the person who was on the ground eventually crawled out. In the end game chat they said that they tried crawling directly under me in case I was able to pick up which I was unable to.
