Now that there's map repetition prevention - can we also get killer repetition prevention?

Yesterday was 5-nurses-in-a-row-day, today seems to be Ghostie-day, given that in 4/4 matche so far i got ghostie.

Well, as long as it isn't Dull Merchant it could be worse, I suppose

Maps are one thing, but killers would probably mess mmr even further than it is already, unfortunately.

I don't think they're ever going to add a feature like this.

I have pretty much instant surv Qs (tho, I suppose that's more due to how uninticing it is to play surv during the event....) and I wouldn't mind waiting 10-20 seconds longer, if it means I don't get the same killer several times in a row

I meant more that highest mmr would bounce between Blight and Nurse and Wesker a lot, and it might make these killer's queues longer while they're waiting for a lobby of only people who have not gone against that killer immediately before. And probably of the survivors too, because if you're solo you need 3 other survivors who also haven't had Nurse before, for example.

That may not be as easy to implement. Maps are a infinite pool. The system can easily pick a new one that hasn't been played and use it.

But there is a finite amount of players. The number of Nurse players is DEFINITELY not the same as the number of Myers players, and so on, and the system will then need to get you one of those lesser played killers.

So to get to the point. It will murder matchmaking timers.

We're not in the super-small-top-MMR-player-pool though, ever since they further lowered the cap.

Map Prevention works, because you don't queue up to play on a map and it's easy enough for the game to decide the map when the lobby is ready.

People pick the killer to play as before queueing and this would only lead to punishing people for playing popular killers. Not to mention the effects get really messy when you consider that each player in a lobby can have a different last killer played against and lobby dodging is only going to add to the pain.

The negatives simply out weight any positive benefit this system might provide.

I wouldn't know about high mmr or the Cap™, I'm firmly in the lower half of the player skill pool ! Diversity is very good here, I rarely get the same killer back to back.

I do hear a lot of people complaining though ! That's why I think it might be complicated to put into effect.

I would like this and would do it even if I had to opt in to longer queues and had to potentially go against killers with much higher MMR than me.

It'd be better for BHVR to come up with a system that makes people want to try out a variety of killers rather than punish people wanting to play popular killers with longer queue times and the survivor queue with longer queue times (which affects solo survivors more than a 4-man SWF). I don't know what type of system that'd be which doesn't come with negatives, but the daily system for a start could probably do with a revamp.

It goes without saying, but balance changes that make killers more appealing to play/more fun to play are also going to improve this.
