Be Honest with me here, What do you think of the current Prestige System?

Back in the old Days we had a Old and simple Prestige System.

3 Tiers. Each labeled with Skulls and Roman Numerals and for each you recieved a Characters Bloodied Cosmetics.

However, reaching Tier III was not a short business, as most of you know, the prices for all the stuff you could get in the Bloodweb was way higher than the ones we have now and the Bloodpoint Storage was capped to 1 Million BP and there was way lesser BP gain than we have today.

Not to mention that each time you did Prestige, you LOST everything you worked for.

So then after a while, we got a new Prestige system with Lower prices and with a system where Perks and Items would stay in your inventory after Prestiging.

I liked it, at the start. I still like the aspect that doesn't make your life a hellfire by removing your stuff each prestige, however, one thing has always bothered me.

The Numbers, the icons and the undeniable Prestige Showing in the lobbys.

There are currently 100 Prestiges that you can reach within the game, however, after 9 Prestiges, this already becomes useless because the only thing you gain after that is a icon for your character and a number.

For "Hard Working Players" or "Collector Players", this is a great oppurtunity to show off that they Prestige that Character because it's their favorite, which is great.

However, in terms of actually gaining something, there is only one thing that you gain, which is a Status to other players.

However, with this "Status" problems make themselves.

I talked to some Prestige 100's in a Discord Server and from what i have heard, each time they enter a Lobby with them only being that Prestige 100, the Killer will spare no mercy and chase them to the end of the World just to get rid of them first so that they can "get rid of the good player first".

It doesn't always happen to them, however, sometimes it just does. As they told me.

To Low Prestiges in Red Ranks and Good Player Lobbys, this is even worse.

The Killer will hunt that Survivor because they view them as the "Bad Player" that's easy to get.

The Same however, goes for your teamates.

I currently have the Survivor i main, Nancy Wheeler, at Prestige 26. A high number already, right?

Well, even so, i got into Lobbys where Survivors refused to stay with me, just because they thought i wasn't a good player because of my number. (Mostly 60's to 100's.)

One time even asking me in the chat to leave the Lobby as they wanted to play with Good players. (Im not making his up, this truly happened.)

Im Devotion 4 and Level 81 and have played for 3 Years, so that Statement was just funnily innacurate.

In my opinion, there should have been something in the options which allowed you to either Show off your player Leve OR your Prestige Level on that Survivor. Perhaps even both.

I don't know if people aren't facing this and if im making this too much of a big deal, but please go ahead and share your opinions.

It’s great that you get to keep everything because you earned those items. The way it was done before was… imo… kind of dumb. I mean you could easily just wait until you used everything up that you had before you prestiged but still…. As far as the other part goes… people are dumb. I’m sorry to be so blunt but thinking someone is either a bad player or an exceptionally skilled one based on something as trivial as prestige is just nutso. Prestige isn’t a skill ranking. It’s not a reward you get for completing specific challenges. It’s just a leveling system from spending bloodpoints which everyone gets no matter how they play. Yes, exceptionally good players are more likely to earn more per trial, but that still wont give any indication of skill through how much BP they spend on a single character. People need to just stop and play the damn game and have fun.

I can remember when i played in 2020 and it was the way you described.

People didn't give a flux whom you played since these prestige Levels didnt show up and mostly only played out of fun, not for competitive reasons.

Nowdays however, i meet so many godawful competitve players and im not saying they're a bad thing, but single handendly if you're not in a great Prestige Level they're going to take it more serious than even, which you're absoloutely right, is tottaly nuts.
