Skull Merchant (sort of) Rework idea?

What if rather than the drones exposing you outright and just causing a lingering status effect, the first person one exposed would be followed by it for a set amount of time with the expose wearing off the second you leave the radius? If it exposed someone while it was chasing another person, it would switch to the new one as its target. When it's done following someone, it could then return to its post, but cannot be manually deactivated by killer or survivor while its following. It could keep the drones current "post" position as the same radius where a Drone cannot be placed, so the killer can't just replace it the second it leaves. instead, she would have to track the survivor down using her radar and down them, or just wait for its follow timer to run out.

It would give skull merchant more chase potential (with the expose, tracking, and even Undetectable getting longer use), while also allowing survivors to selectively choose to take the drone away from its post but take a dangerous tradeoff. Also, while this largely doesn't matter in terms of balance, I think it would fit her conceptually significantly more. Merchant is painted as this stealthy, murderous prowler, always on the move with drones patrolling her current territory searching for new prey. Her current power design feels more like she's protecting herself than hunting others, but this rework would change that with the drones hunting down anyone they see, followed close behind by the killer who knows exactly where you are. overall I think this would be a net positive for both sides, with skull merchant becoming significantly stronger in chase while survivors get more engaging gameplay.

If anyone has any other thoughts or ideas I would be interested to hear them.

That's basically lot of work for little effect imo. If I get it right.

It wouldn't change her playstyle that much.

It would still suck for survivors and drones would be same in chase - free injury, then mostly ignored.

    If I get it right:

-Skull merchant still drops drones with area denial.

-survivors can still disarm them for clawtrap.

-only change is when survivor get exposed

    Then drone follows a survivor.

Her chase wouldn't really be better with this. Exposing usually happens when survivor screwed disarm (somehow) or when they try to ignore drone and focus gen. Not in chase, unless survivor is already injured.

This would basically do something only when survivor screwed disarming.

When they want to work on gen, they won't care about drone following them.

Also how the hell it would work if survivor bring drone to another drone? Could I make 4 drones follow me into corner of the map or something?

For how long they would chase?

    How fast they would be?
