Decisive Strike Buff and Small mention of Buff/Nerf for two other perks (More then a small mention)
Whenever people look towards buffing this perk they always look towards stun duration however I believe this perk should get a buff in other areas.
First I want to say I mainly believe this perk needs a buff due to the existence of Off the Record, and even if they go alone with any or even all of these buffs at once I still believe Off the Record will remain a better perk (If it’s off the record alone vs DS alone). Off the Record is overall a better version off DS, it still gives you an extra hit and there is a time limit within that hit, on top of that it has too more additions that being no Aura Reading and reducing the sound you make while injured. Now to go back to the Endurance and Duration; both act about the same with Endurance and DS timer going when you do a Conspicuous Action, and also both of them giving you essentially another hit, one main difference being that Off the Record lasts longer, they can’t wait out the hit by leaving you slugged and the speed you gained while hit while having off the record, the only Benefit you have with decisive strike is the fact that it can be paired with slightly more perks (Endurance perks because no dead hard) which gives you another hit. However off the record does all this on it’s own and because of this I believe DS needs a buff, the buff I will say Is not a duration buff, because that is just unfun to go against as a killer.
The buff: I think there are a number of ways to give this perk a buff and imo, likely if you do all of them Off the Record will still be a better perk on its own with DS overtaking it with other perks like Dead Hard; which is how it should be (Two perks are better then one)
Buff 1: Removing the time limit and allowing you to keep DS until doing a conspicuous action, with it’s rather low stun time this will make it that a killer isn’t completely forced to let them go because they don’t want to go through an incredibly long skill check and they can’t leave them slugged until it’s over, and with the low stun time it doesn’t make this perk too easy for survivors to use or too painful for a killer to go through.
Buff 2: This is a honestly fairly small buff however it allows for more separation from the two perks, both perks deactivate when exist gates are opened which is completely fair for Off the Record but isn’t for DS, if used solo I wouldn’t think of this as a big deal due to the short time, however it can be paired with adrenaline which can lead a DS into adrenaline, or another hit stacking apon adrenaline (Which is why if one of these buffs I would least like it to be this one)
Other perk Buffs/Nerfs: I want to go into two other perks that I believe should get buffs mainly because of how they all lead into each other.
Perk 1: Made for this - I don’t want to go too deep into why they should nerf this perk (if you want to know please ask politely and I’ll respond instead of screaming how wrong I am) but personally I don’t think the speed on its own is a big deal, I think the real big deal is the second effect especially in conjunction with the first effect. Also for all of these buffs I won’t go into why as this perk is highly discussed and I’m hoping you can figure out why on your own (again unless you ask, no shame)
Nerf 1: This is the nerf I think should be done no matter what (Unless they go with Nerf 3) which is at the very least halving the the time of the endurance ( Personally I believe 3 seconds would be fine)
Nerf 2: I believe this Nerf would likely be the best nerf if you want to keep this effect for this perk, this nerf would be allowing you to only take endurance when healing other people from injured.
Nerf 3: I believe this would be the best nerf to Made for this, it still leaves it fairly strong and gives behavior another free effect for a different perk; this nerf would be moving the endurance effect to a new perk, this can still be used with Made for this but allows for some more fun but strong build combinations and some restrictions rather then just running one strong perk for everything.
Perk 2 - Buckle Up - This buff isn’t out yet but will 100% be problematic when it’s out and people are don’t just trying the new stuff in the PTB. For those who don’t know (If I remember correctly) Buckle up with give endurance to both the person who was picked up from the dying state and the person who picked them up (Very much like old Borrowed time) This forced the killer into a lose lose situation with no counter play besides not letting it happen in the first place (because most likely they will make It to a loop).
Buff/Nerf: Instead of double endurance they should keep the previous effect and just add endurance to the survivor picked up (The previous effect was; during 10 seconds after you pick up a survivor both you and the survivor picked up see the killers aura, also the survivor picked up gains 10% haste for that time) This would also give the perk more synergy with other perks instead of becoming a Made for this (worse made for this rn)
Overall I think the best combinations of buffs for these two perks would be do the one suggestion I did for Buckle up, and move the second effect of made for this too another perk (whole effect maybe just halving the time it is active) This gives behavior one free perk, splits up a crazy perk due to it having both a chase ability and the support endurance ability and you can still run either made for this or the new perk with them both being good on their own and having synergy with other perks (as well as being able to pair them with each other still to have a really strong combo and still have two perk slots open
