So,thoughts on the length and amount of changes in this Developer Update?
As per title. We've gotten a miniature update to Sadako with some very odd ball changes. A revert to some animations and... a numbers change to a perk that isnt even coming in the live release.
Are all the devs busy crunching away at the 8 trillion chapters BHVR is rushing out or am I missing something?

What do you mean not coming live release? Is hangman’s trick buff not coming tomorrow?

The amount of changes don't really matter imo. Quality is more important.
However the one thing that really baffles me is Hangman's Trick. Hangman's Trick is getting a 2m buff from the ptb. Doesn't really change the fact the perk is still worse, but the fact that the devs took long enough to decide that the best thing they could do with Hangman's is a 2m buff that they missed the window to put it on tomorrow's patch is just weird. The ptb was 3 weeks ago.

BHVR doesn't want to make DBD anymore. they take all the money they make from it and invest it into a bunch of other small projects like Meet Your Maker in hopes they get big like DBD and they can sunset it. it's why DBD Mobile has all these great QOL features we've been begging for over 5 years for and we still don't have any of them lol, Netease actually cares

Yeah, the buff to Hangman's Trick is almost certainly not enough.
Maybe it could reveal the Auras of Survivors within 6m of a regular Hook, and 12m of a Scourge Hook? That'd be decent I think.

No it's not, it's coming in an undisclosed future patch.
Personally I don't se the fuss about Hangmans Trick. A bunch of people who already never use it are complaining that they will still never use it, but missing the point of the perk.
Hangmans Trick is a counter to sabo plays. Sabo plays are mostly (if not only in cases where two hooks are in range) an issue when using Scourge perks. Saboteur highlights Scourge hooks for the survivor, so they can deny you your Scourge proc.
Hangmans Trick will compliment Scourge builds, and will be more effective for that purpose.

A buff they could add is when a scourge hook is broken on sacrifice it respawns after 10 seconds. They could also make it so survivors get a 50% sabotage penalty so it takes now 9 seconds to sabotage instead of 6 and with the perk sabetour it takes 5.3 seconds instead of 2.3 seconds.

Yeah except MYM immediately flopped to death. Great point on the mobile team outpacing the "main" one by leagues though.

Disagree,both matter and both are lacking post this PTB. Plus this was literally announced a DAY before the chapter drop. Every other time it only was a week since the PTB. This time it took them 3 weeks to do 3 small changes one of which isnt even coming to live. That is concerning.

Looks really lacking to me as well.
Bad Sadako changes and a bunch of perk buffs that realistically still don’t make them good at all.
Only positives I see from this patch are some new survivor perks from Cage, BNP nerf and PT nerf.

BNP nerf isnt even a nerf,according to Otz it's a 4s diff.

Hopefully, BHVR will revert Hangman's Trick back to being useful...
Your ingenious modifications to Hooks prevent tampering and permanent damage.
- Hooks destroyed by sabotage or sacrifices repair automatically after 30/20/10 seconds.
- Gain a Loud Noise Notification when someone starts sabotaging the Hooks.

I frankly wouldnt bother posting any suggestions for designs tbh. They probably will just see the perk's mildly increased usage this first week and then call it a job well done. Statistics are clearly everything still...

"I don't see the fuss about Hangman's trick" Okay,so you see nothing wrong with them making a terrible perk design,publishing it to everyone for 3 weeks,seeing tons of feedback it's terrible and doing a last minute extremely minor numbers change that cant even make it to live in time?

No, because the old version of Hangman's Trick was already awful.
Slightly less awful is an improvement.

I dont think that's a good mindset for feedback to a giant corporation with tons of money like BHVR,IMO.
