Clown suggestion, accessibility I guess.

Heyo, small suggestion that has been bothering me.

Right now, when affected by Clown's bottles, the blur and fluidity of the screen genuinely gives me vertigo. The waviness of the screen makes me feel sick IRL so when I see it's The Clown, I want to DC. I don't do it often as I know it ruins the game, but honestly being affected by his power is awful.

My suggestion isn't a buff or nerf to The Clown, all I suggest is an accessibility option that stops the bottles from causing my screen to move like murky water in a shaken bottle. The blur is fine, the lack of vision is clearly part of his power, all I ask is that an option is added so that the blur is there but the moving distortion is reduced. Lack of vision isn't an issue to me, just like how in Deep Wound or affected by a boon I can't see as well as usual, I understand that it's part of the game - and if Clown's bottles had a similar effect (but stronger of course) then I'd have no issue. My only issue is the fact that it makes my screen move in that wavy way. I know I'm probably sounding like a stuck record, but I want to stress that I really don't want this to negatively affect his power. I just want it to stop making me feel sick xD.

I know many people aren't affected the same way by his power but I also know a lot of people feel the same. I'm fine with losing games, I'm fine with killer powers being oppressive as that's the point (despite Clown being fairly weak) but when the game actually affects me in real life and makes me feel genuinely nauseous, that's when I think the power has gone a little too far. I don't think video game killers are meant to actually affect you in real life lmao.

Either that or tell me how to cure vertigo xD. In an ideal world, every killer would be fun to play as and against, but when playing clown I genuinely dread getting affected by his power which makes me play differently, and it's straight up not fun. I really don't want this suggestion to cause Clown to be less powerful, all I want is to make his power stop making me want to spew lmao. Hope this reaches the devs, as right now Clown is by far my least favourite killer to play against despite him being relatively weak.

It would be nice, it really hurts trying to see with the wavy effect, they took away the looking down when hitting animation because it gave people motion sickness, don’t know why they don’t do the same with clown

That's kinda the problem with Clown and Doc to an extension. They both have relatively weak powers, which are only counterbalanced by the effects on the average population. When you expand it to motion sickness and photosensitivity, a small percentage of people can't play against an equally small percentage of Killers, so the problem is largely ignored.

Honestly a 'ban Killer' option for ~6 Killers (or 1 per 5 released) would serve this better, as it even rarer for someone to have motion sickness (Clown), photosensitivity (Doctor), emetophobia (fear of vomiting aka Plague), trypophobia (Demo skin), and something else for say Twins. Since this wouldn't only be an accessibility option, the development time wouldn't be 'wasted', and would also help the "I only fight Weskers" and "I refuse to play against Skull Merchant" problems. Then lesser banned Killers can get a BP incentive to keep variety for them in the rotation, as well as telling Killer players some options that for sure don't have longer queues.

Ehhh, I'm not sure about banning killers. I think no matter what you do, that'll negatively affect the less popular killers amongst survivors. I think accessibility options for the ones that would make you physically unwell are a good idea as long as those killers remain as powerful and as popular as they are now.

    Clown: Reduce the swirliness.

Doctor: Reduce the frequency of the flashing but have the flashes last longer on your screen.

Plague: Have her spew come out of her chest or something and retexture to something less grotesque. Would look silly but if it's gonna make you spew IRL then that's the trade off.

Demo: Idk if this really needs changed. He only has the 1 hole. If it's the teeth then I suppose removing those textures could work but I'd also say you rarely need to look at that in the first place.

Twins: Can't think of any reason why they'd make you feel sick. They're just a bit horrifying to look at - and I imagine that's the point being a horror game lmao.

There are definitely more killers that can make you unwell IRL than Clown, though Clown is the only one who affects me personally so I can't really suggest anything on the other ones lmao, that's just my two cents.

I can't handle even the most stylised vom, it just gets the gag reflex going immediately. Plague is a no-go for me on either side.
