Unable to join lobbies

Whenever I am invited into a lobby it comes up with the message: "unable to join lobby", and whenever I have tried to join from the friends menu by selecting join lobby, it comes up with an error message that says something like "encountered unknown error, unable to join lobby". Tried restarting Dead By Daylight, didn't work same error. Going to try checking Wi-Fi and seeing if the game is updated to current version, if all else fails, will try uninstalling and re-installing dead by daylight.
