"Hubris" and race conditions

If a killer is running Hubris and I throw a pallet down while they're swinging at me, either they hit me before the pallet stuns them (in which case Hubris doesn't activate on that M1) or I stun them before they hit me, in which case... you know... they shouldn't hit me.

Currently, it's possible for a killer to get the benefit of the stun while simultaneously avoiding the consequences of that stun. You can throw a pallet down, "stun" the killer, give them Hubris, and still get the Exposed hit. And that's real dumb.
