If you end up having to nerf the Onryo, don't increase her teleport's cooldown.
We have yet to see the data for the reworked Onryo's kill rates, but considering her pre-rework kill rates were already really high AND her current version has all the stuff that usually results in high kill rates (simple to play, slowdown built in her power, a mechanic that kills survivors if they fail to counter the power), I presume they will be higher than ever now. I wouldn't even be surprised if her kill rates surpassed the Cenobite's. And knowing the devs usually balance around kill rates to avoid ruining the experience of the average player, she will probably end up nerfed.
Well, the point of this thread is to suggest NOT to increase the 10-seconds cooldown of her projection. Being able to teleport around, hit-and-run and apply pressure has always been the most fun part of playing the Onryo. Besides, while the speed she builds up condemn is too oppressive on average survivors, her teleport itself is not. Don't forget, when it comes to chase, she is still an m1 killer.
If it's needed, you can tweak her condemn in other ways, without messing with the teleport. Decrease the ammount of condemn built with each projection (half a stack instead of 3/4 would already make you need to project 14 times instead of 10), increase the reduction of condemned caused by delivering a tape (to better reward you for countering her) and, if that ends up nerfing her condemn a little too hard, compensate for it by giving small buffs to other aspects of hers, like increasing the time it takes to retrieve a tape (to retrieve it, not to insert it, because that would make too hard to deliver a tape before getting hit by her) to buff her slowdown, or maybe giving an increased condemn progress to survivors NEAR the TV she projects into, like the old version. The others would receive a reduced ammount as normal.

There is a close to zero percent chance they take time to nerf her after just changing her. Think about how long it takes them to make changes right now, you are looking at at least a year before they do anything to her.

Or 9 months. Eruption was nerfed 9 months after it’s buff

Yeah they are extremely slow when it comes to fixing OP stuff on the side of killer. Survivor on the other hand, I could see MFT being nerfed next patch. Alls it takes is an otz video and they nerf survivor stuff.

Everyone on the forum thinks killers always get nerfed fast but it took them 10 months to nerf the gen kick meta. Nurse is still the same strong killer even after all the nerfs. Blight doesn’t get nerfed at all. Spirits MDR took 5 years to be nerfed.
the only point they have is Thanatophobia but that had a reason to be nerfed cause it caused the game to be unfun and a slog to play

It's funny you mention the gen kick meta getting nerfed, I just played against a wraith with 4 kick perks. He 4kd us with 3 gens left. Even the nerfs they give out to killer are minuscule to a point of having no impact at all.
Think about the nerfs to DS and Dead hard, literally dead perks. In the meantime, everytime a killer perk is nerfed, it's like a 5-10% nerf to the perk. Watch they are going to entirely take off the endurance effect on MFT.

The problem isn’t the endurance it’s the fact that you can be faster than a m1 killer with no requirement and no skill.
I know it’s going to be nerfed. Probably this midchapter

I don't actually have a problem if they cap movement speed for both sides when it comes to stacking haste effects. The problem is, I don't think the movement speed is enough to warrant running MFT. I ran it a few games and didn't really notice it at all. There are too many very strong perks to run in it's place as a solo survivor.

Trust me it’s actually very good. If you stun the killer and run in a straight line they will never catch you(unless it’s nurse, blight, huntress, slinger or wesker). Combined with resilience of you know how to loop there’s a chance the killer will never catch up

It feels like a win more perk, in that you were probably safe to begin with. Hope on the other hand is definitely noticable, running both for sure noticeable. But in todays DBD climate, if you made it to end game there is a 75% chance you are going to live. I could list several perks I would run before I would run MFT. I think the only situation I would run MFT would be to do meme games with friends. But they all quit when the killers got buffed a year ago.

It's actually the complete opposite. Do you want to compare perks on each side and how long it took to fix them? We can go through the perks. Most the OP meta survivor perks took literally years. So 9 months for gen kick perk changes is absolutely nothing comparatively. Not to mention as we look through past years of over tuned perks there were significantly more perks on the survivor side as well.

I too hope they let her ride for longer to give players time to adapt. My personal experience is that still very, very few players are actually doing her tapes correctly and most are still trying to play against her like old Onryo which is inflating her kill stats artificially. Her play style as and against is very refreshing and unique compared to most other killers, which is a good thing.
Personally I wouldn't nerf her as even though the condemn is strong, she's terrible in every other category that makes a good killer good. So if they were to nerf her condemn, she would need significant buffs in other areas to compensate.
If we were forcing a change though I'd make it so the tv's are highlighted within a certain range to make them easier to find and quicker to get to. Some of the newer players gripes are having trouble finding the tv's. In exchange, remove the lullaby on her Demanifested state as it defeats the entire point of being Undetectable and remove the slow down moving between manifested and demanifested as it's unnecessary.
These would make her condemn a little easier to manage and improve her a little in other areas. I personally wish her Iri Tape was base kit as without it removing condemn is just too easy against actually good players, but I understand that's reaching since the game doesn't balance around good players.
