Skull Merchant 3 gen fix

What if after a drone locks onto a survivor, it moves to hover over the survivor and follow them for the duration of the lock on. It would leave behind a shadow of its radius on its original spot, and the Skull Merchant can't put down another drone as if the drone was still there. The drone wouldn't lock onto any other survivors when it is following a survivor, so they can't take it to their teammates and expose them. The Skull Merchant also couldn't recall a drone following a survivor. After the lock on ends, the drone would slowly fly back to its original position.

If the Skull Merchant is holding a three gen, a survivor could just kidnap the drone and make the area safe. They would be an easy target, since they would be exposed and have a drone showing the killer exactly where they are as well as the passive 2% haste the Skull Merchant would get, but it could be worth the risk to make an area safe.

    Overcomplicating it...

    You could just create claw trap on steroids that would replace lock on.

    So you can wait and spend time to get normal claw trap, or go there asap and take stronger claw trap on yourself.

    This would need some other changes, but might be a good start.
