Stop instantly DC-ing players from the game in the case of a connection loss

This. It's happened to me twice while playing as killer, but it hurt the most today.

I was playing a match and was on the verge of finishing it as the last 2 players were simultaneously being taken by the Entity. Lo and behold, my internet for whatever reason died for a few seconds (maybe I accidentally nudged the internet cable or idk). Didn't matter at all that those survivors were a few seconds away from dying, the game ended, only 2 survivors counted as a kill (and not that it mattered cause I lost any XP I would've gotten anyway) and I had been marked as DCed.

Make something to detect that the player's internet connection died and to allow them a few moments to reconnect before kicking them out, any decent multiplayer game has that feature, because my internet dying is not the same as me intentionally pressing the "Leave match button" so it shouldn't be an instant DC. It's really unfair. I had no reason to DC that match when I had pretty much gotten a 4k.
