Pinhead's chain hunt fails to start

It has happened to me multiple times over the past few weeks, and a few days ago I saw it happen to a streamer, too.
When you (as Pinhead) down a survivor carrying the Lament Configuration, instead of the Chain Hunt starting in a few seconds, the whole thing gets reset instead, and the countdown starts from the start (meaning, no Chain Hunt for more than a minute).
