Suggestion: Token based Chest perks

I like how different features of the map have slowly become a bigger part of the game, such as totems or hooks. I think chests could be leveraged in the same way to give the game an extra dimension.

A lot of players don't bother with chests because they can't justify the time commitment in opening them, and killers have no real vested interest in defending chests.

I think there could be whole range of perks, similar to boon totems or hexes, or scourge hooks, which could rely on chests being opened or closed, by using a "token system".

E.g. for the survivor side, "for each chest opened, gain 1 token. Use tokens to immediately gain X% generator repair progress (or X% healing progress, etc).

E.g. for the killer side, "start the game with X tokens. Each token provides a small buff (such as extra progress when damaging generators, X% movement speed, etc). For each chest that is opened, lose 1 token."

What does everyone think? Could a 'Chest/Token' system be a viable way to make chests a bigger part of the game?
