The anti-facecamp bar takes way too long to fill.
I just had a game where a Dredge hooked me, initially left the hook, then halfway through came back, intercepted survivors trying to rescue me, scared them away and decided to stay there facecamping for some time after that, even with no survivors nearby. It was right in front of me and, still, the bar was filling way too slowly. I got to second stage before the it was full and then the killer just left, leaving the bar at something around 90-95%.
So, all the killer has to do now is start camping around the middle of the hook stage instead of the start, and the bar just won't fill in time. It should charge faster.

As a person who mainly plays killer I actually agree with you. Definitely could be a bit faster.
For example, I had a match yesterday where no one went to save this poor Nea on hook and she hit stage two. I was annoyed with the survivors at that point so I was like, "I'll do it myself" and went to the hook to facecamp them so they could be saved by me instead since their team clearly wasn't going to do it. She ended up dying on hook anyways even though I got there somewhat quickly into stage 2. And to be clear she was passing all the skill checks on hook. I imagine the bar was really close to finishing but it is crazy that I can intentionally try to facecamp someone in order to save them and it is still not enough.

Damn, I feel bad for the survivor. More proof that the bar needs to be sped up a little.

I always was thinking that if there's gonna be a 7 second grace period, increase the speed to compensate.

I'm not sure on the numbers but I had one huntress camping me in the 12-16m radius I would say, it's still a facecamp in my book especially with huntress, bar was too slow to unhook before second stage.. so i'm not sure what current version is supposed to counter but it's not working

That bar already goes by incredibly fast. Going to have to say no. A killer shouldn't be punished because he has to run passed a hook to get to an objective.

He left and came back to stop a save and then stayed to make sure you went to next stage.
Nearby survivors will slow the bar build up. If he was solely just facecamping you without anyone nearby the bar fills up really fast.

Either it's bugged or I played against a plethora of hackers today. I was face camped multiple times and it didn't budge.

Lol if you face camp you sacrifice gens. If the survivors sit around waiting for you to leave thats a clear skill issue.

No, it happened on Eyrie of Crows.

They had already gone far away at that point, though. When the killer first came back, the bar wouldn't move because there were survivors nearby, as expected and stated by the devs. Then they ran far away, the bar started to move again, the killer came back and stayed, and it kept slow even when the survivors weren't nearby anymore. So, does that mean it stays slow forever if a survivor approaches at any point then leaves?

why does there need to be something to compensate? the bar immediately filling when the killer hooks you is ridiculous

I know but there isn't a reason to still be near them unless they're at a chokepoint you need to get through. Say a hallway on midwich. You should be able to pass through MORE than a few times and they can't unhook themselves. Just always be on the move.
