Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

The anti-facecamp bar takes way too long to fill.

I just had a game where a Dredge hooked me, initially left the hook, then halfway through came back, intercepted survivors trying to rescue me, scared them away and decided to stay there facecamping for some time after that, even with no survivors nearby. It was right in front of me and, still, the bar was filling way too slowly. I got to second stage before the it was full and then the killer just left, leaving the bar at something around 90-95%.

So, all the killer has to do now is start camping around the middle of the hook stage instead of the start, and the bar just won't fill in time. It should charge faster.

Damn, I feel bad for the survivor. More proof that the bar needs to be sped up a little.

I'm not sure on the numbers but I had one huntress camping me in the 12-16m radius I would say, it's still a facecamp in my book especially with huntress, bar was too slow to unhook before second stage.. so i'm not sure what current version is supposed to counter but it's not working

Either it's bugged or I played against a plethora of hackers today. I was face camped multiple times and it didn't budge.

Lol if you face camp you sacrifice gens. If the survivors sit around waiting for you to leave thats a clear skill issue.

They had already gone far away at that point, though. When the killer first came back, the bar wouldn't move because there were survivors nearby, as expected and stated by the devs. Then they ran far away, the bar started to move again, the killer came back and stayed, and it kept slow even when the survivors weren't nearby anymore. So, does that mean it stays slow forever if a survivor approaches at any point then leaves?

why does there need to be something to compensate? the bar immediately filling when the killer hooks you is ridiculous

I know but there isn't a reason to still be near them unless they're at a chokepoint you need to get through. Say a hallway on midwich. You should be able to pass through MORE than a few times and they can't unhook themselves. Just always be on the move.
