General game/server instability
I've had "dedicated server not responding" disconnect errors twice tonight. I play on desktop (Steam version), btw. I've been getting a lot of bugs and server issues that are making the game actively unplayable, as I keep getting disconnected through no fault of my own (I have a perfectly-stable, fast ethernet connection, and am typically at 60ms ping at most, maybe the low 100s when I'm playing with someone on the opposite side of the country) and then getting matchmaking penalties applied to me.
First was a Nemesis match on Lery's. I loaded in with a plunder build (Plunderer's, Appraisal, Ace in the Hole, Streetwise), spawned next to a chest, and opened it, and there was no item inside of it. I could attempt to start the rummage action, but it would stop me immediately because the game knew there was supposed to be an item there. Also, 2 of my perk icons hadn't loaded in. Neither had a lot of UI elements (such as status effect icons, item icons, and survivor action icons). Most of the way through the match (like, 3 gens and several hook states in), my perk icons finally load. I try to use a syringe to vaccinate myself, but I'm still infected. I went back to the chest I opened at the beginning of the match to notice there was a key inside of it. I tried to pick it up and got stuck standing there, unable to move. The killer tried to down me and seems to have successfully done so on his side, but it was desync'd and he couldn't pick me up. A few minutes later, I get automatically disconnected with the "dedicated server not responding" error message and get a 5-minute matchmaking penalty.
The second match was a Pyramid Head match on Wretched Shop. This one was a lot more straight-forward. Everything was working fine until I was the last survivor, and I hid in a locker to try to get hatch. When I tried to leave the locker, I got stuck, and around 30 seconds later, the server dropped me with the same error message. 15-minute matchmaking penalty.
As an aside, I've also been experiencing a couple other issues that may or may not be related to this. There were two different instances of me getting an EasyAntiCheat error about failing to verify my account or something. One of these disconnected me from the match I was in, while the other was right after I got out of a match. The former incurred a 5-minute matchmaking penalty.
Additionally, I've also been having a bunch of issues with actually getting into matches in the first place. Multiple times, after several minutes of sitting in queue to no avail, I try to cancel out of queue and cannot go back to the main menu without first entering a secondary screen, like the shop or archives, and then backing out to reset the back button.
I apologize for this being kind of all over the place, but I have no clue what's going on with the game and how much of it is clientside vs. serverside, or how many of these issues are actually related to each other. For all I know, it could just be massive server stress due to the event, but I thought I'd just throw all this out there.
