I have noticed that many times the wiggle bar will fill up but will still give the killer a second to take a few more steps before letting you out of their grasp. I just went through a trial where the wiggle bar was full for an entire second but didn't stun the killer, giving them the time to reach the hook and put me on it. I was using Boil Over, but it still didn't let me out even though I was hitting great skill checks every time.
